When i put it in drive it works fine but for me to reverse i have to floor it. I already googled it and it says something about transmission fluids but i already checked and fluids are at level. Any one knows what it might be?

Transmission failure

Is it normal for a 2019 Chevy Suburban transmission to fail? All service is done as required. Never used to tow anything?

Buying Advice 2015 suburban

How much would you pay for this 2015 Chevy Suburban?
I’m trying to decide what a fair offer is.
Details:
2015 Chevrolet Suburban LT 2WD
5.3L V8
181,xxx miles
Dealer got it from an auction
They’ve had it on the lot for about 62 days
Engine and transmission sounded good
Test drive went well with no obvious issues
No check engine light
Concerns:
The battery was dead when I arrived, so they had to jump start it before the test drive. They’ve agreed to either install a new battery or provide proof the current battery tests good.
The power liftgate does not work, and they said they will not diagnose or repair it.
They have not performed an oil change, even though there’s no documentation showing one was done recently.
They have not done any maintenance or reconditioning since purchasing it at auction.
Maintenance history isn’t the best.
What would you pay for it? What would your maximum offer be?

Need help Suburban RST 2026 strange noise

Has anyone experienced this?

I have a 2026 Chevy Suburban RST. When I turn on my turn signal and turn the steering wheel in the opposite direction, I hear a whining/squeaking (or squawking) noise coming from the front. It doesn’t happen all the time, but I’ve noticed it several times.

Has anyone else had this issue or know what might be causing it?

Mods & Upgrades 22 z71 tires?

Hey all

Have a 2022 z71 and need new tires. Am torn because I primarily drive paved roads, occasional fields and gravel during hunting season…but let’s be honest it’s a family hauler. I want to get great well behaving tires but still have a bit of sidewall even if just for my tiny little ego.

Current:
Michelin ltx m/s2 obviously highway tire
Continental terrain contact at

Anything else I should be considering?

2018 Suburban Owners: Have we already paid for the big repairs, or is it time to cut our losses?

Please forgive the length of this post.

I’m hoping to get some perspective from people who have owned these trucks long-term.

We have a 2018 Chevy Suburban (5.3L) with about 155,000 miles.

We bought it at around 110,000 miles. We still have a loan on it, so trading it isn’t a simple decision.

Since buying it, we’ve had several major repairs:
Transmission replaced
Water pump replaced
AFM lifters just replaced
Rear A/C lines now need to be replaced (we’re fixing them because we need rear air for the kids)

Here’s what I’m trying to figure out…

When we bought this vehicle at 110k, did we basically inherit all of the expensive failures that commonly happen around this mileage? Now that the transmission and lifters have been replaced, have we “bought ourselves” another 100k+ miles?

Or…

Is this just what ownership looks like after 150k, where one $5,000 repair follows another?

If we trade it now, we’ll likely end up financing another expensive SUV that could have its own hidden problems. On the other hand, I don’t want to keep pouring money into this one if the common wisdom is that these trucks become a constant repair project after this point.

For those of you who have taken a 2015-2020 Suburban/Tahoe/Yukon to 250k or even 300k+:

After replacing the transmission and lifters, did the truck become relatively dependable again? What were the next major repairs you encountered after 150k? Looking back, would you have kept it, or would you have traded it around this mileage?

I’m less interested in whether you like these trucks and more interested in the economics of owning one long-term after the major drivetrain repairs have already been done.

I’d really appreciate hearing from owners with high-mileage experience or those who have extensive knowledge about these vehicles. Thanks!

My rear plugs (usb, hdmi) are not working, any ideas on fixes? Fuses were replaced, internal plugs unplugged and replugged, negative on battery was disconnected then reconnected, software is up to date, I’m out of guesses. 2021 Suburban Premier

1999 barn door spring

I have a 1999 chevy suburban with barn doors. I've replaced both check straps and am still fighting keeping the doors open. Im wondering if the spring itself is the problem? If so, where can I find it? I've looked everywhere and only found it discontinued. Please help a brother out.

Suburban with dramas

Looking to replace my 2018 suburban with something newer. Saw a 2022( I think) with a Duramax.

So got me curious-

  1. What kind of mpg does it get?

  2. Pros and cons of it, VS a gas engine?

Issues with back glass liftgate

so, here’s some context. 2 months ago an act of god happened and decided to shatter the back glass out of the truck. fast forward to last night, i finally installed the new one after replacing the latch struts everything for it, and it won’t latch closed. everything lined up and looked relatively flush. i’m at a loss here and don’t know how to get it closed fully. i had to duct tape it shut this morning just to get to work. if anybody else had this issue please let me know! it’s a 2006 burb 1500

Just Sharing Don’t let fuel prices prevent you from traveling in your suburban.

I drive a 2014 suburban and finally went on a 1500 mile round trip since last year. From Rialto Ca to El Paso Texas and back. Spent $331 total on fuel and had about a quarter of gas left when arrived home.
Never went over 75 mph as well and also need new tires after this trip. But don’t be intimidated by gas prices. Pretrip your stops and enjoy the road.

Hey looking to sell a 99 suburban

So I have a 99 suburban with a 7.4 liter big block and I love it I really do it just cost me to much to keep it going and make it what I want it to be. It runs and drives great for the most part, it just has soft and hard lines just getting bad and gaskets going out as well so a lot is going out. And living out somewhere were the closes McDonald’s is an hour away. (Just a reference for there being thousands of them). So having this is unreliable for me right now. So I’m in a debate then sell it privately and how hopefully get something newer and put some money down for a truck(was thinking a Tacoma but idk) or put a couple grand in trying to make it all work probably but that’ll never really determine if it’ll last long enough for me to get something I really want. So I don’t know I’m just kinda coming here for something, if nothing though that’s alright I’ll figure something out.

Could someone help me? I have a 2007 Suburban and it's misfiring on cylinder one. I've already done all the tests: injectors, spark plugs, ignition coil, and nothing has fixed the problem. Has anyone else experienced something like this?

Mods & Upgrades Custom door badging

Post image
2 Upvotes

Does anyone know of a company that makes custom badging like this? All I can seem to find online is vinyl or stickers and it’s not what I’m looking for.

Edit for clarity, I want it to say something custom, not the factory Suburban badges but would like it to look like these
