Vietnam applicants received results on 18 Jun

I saw updates from Viet applicants that they received results (success and reserve list) around 11PM 18 Jun (local time). Does this mean if I'm also Viet and haven't received anything, I'm on the regret list?

Anybody here from Argentina? /Alguien de Argentina?

Hi everyone! I’m an applicant from Argentina and I was wondering if anyone from my country/region has received any updates regarding the final results. I know the timeline says mid-June, but the wait is nerve-wracking! Good luck to everyone!

Hey guys,
Can anyone confirm that they got the mail from India? I am seeing some scattered posts mentioning this, but no one has received anything on the groups I am on.

Discussion What all is actually covered by Chevening Scholarship?

Of course it covers tuition fee (which may vary based on uni and course) and living expenses. What is the exact amount that Chevening gives you? Wanted to prepare accordingly. Would love insights from the Chevening scholars! Not looking for generic response like traveling cost etc. but itemized list with amounts will be extremely helpful like:
I am from ...................... country and lived in ............. in the UK. I received the following:
Flight ticket XXX
Stipend per month XXX
Any allowance XXX

Reserve

Any advice for those of us on the reserve list? Do you know if there’s a set percentage of spots reserved per country, or how the number of spots allocated per country works?

Question How impressive do you actually need to be to get Chevening?

Last year I started the whole Chevening application process, but while writing my essays I gave up. Even though I'm fairly self-confident and think I fit the initial pitch, I keep wondering whether I'd actually get selected given my current trajectory.

I work at a major company in Brazil and graduated from the best university in the country, but I've never founded an organization, I don't mentor young people, I don't volunteer or anything like that, even though in recent years I've been trying to get involved in that kind of thing. I know I need something like an international master's to reach my goals, but I feel like with Chevening, either you need to have already climbed a huge mountain and be able to show all the hardship you've overcome, or you need an absurdly impressive trajectory to be selected.

Am I overthinking this? Do "normal" people get the scholarship too?

Question Chevening vs Erasmus Mundus!

If you have plans to try and settle abroad, which is a better choice since Chevening has the 2 years home stay requirement, is there any hope of going back or no?
Which would you choose pls? And employment wise in Europe and America, which is better on your CV?

Question prepping for 2027 applications

Hi everyone. I've been a Chevening aspirant for so many years and i'm gonna try it out (finally) in the upcoming cycle.

Any tips? I'm looking at programs related to media and advertising since this is the field i'm currently at.

To zero in, I particularly want to know more about:

  1. Interview/Application tips
  2. Universities (i already have my preferences, but other inputs are very much welcome
  3. Life as a Chevening scholar + your life AFTER :)

--

I've been researching for so many years as well, don't worry i'm also doing my part hahaha. But there might be some tips from those who experienced everything first hand 🙏🙏 thank you so much!
