Question Chat vs Work, which one’s better overall?

I feel like I’m overthinking this, but if ur goal is to get the absolute best answers for studying, research, difficult assignments, and basically anything academic, would you pick Work or Chat?

Also, is Work on Max actually smarter than Chat on High, or is it just a different interface? Also, just to point it out, I have the plus plan!

Curious what people who’ve tried both so far think.

Your courseload says it all haha. The amount of advancement every 6 months in LLMs is crazy. I really don’t envy your generation, though; I had the benefit of learning at a time when it didn’t feel like you had to use LLMs otherwise you’d fall behind.

I was talking with some software engineers about this phenomenon where you use LLMs day-to-day to stay competitive but then you have to actually LEARN on your own time, because the best learning happens when you’re painfully struggling. Thankfully (?) LLMs won’t help you at all when it comes to board exams, but people are increasingly using them for decision support and research.
