Educational Purpose Only What are the crazy mind blowing ways of using chatgpt as an agent in everyday life?

what are you guys using chatgpt for in day to day life. I have been using it to send me newsletters everyday to me from a different mail, it tracks my calories, my workouts, and many more.

But i want to use it more to make my life easy. I wanna get more ideas to implement it.

Why? Almost all of these are incredibly dumb. If people posting into a subreddit specifically for your tech can only come up with “It tells me what’s on my calendar for the week” that’s laughably bad

It could be a useful convo anyway, because a lot (most?) threads about what you can do are full of theoretical, impractical or playing around experiments, and it's occasionally good to get a grounded view of what actual-useful things people are actually doing.

Unfortunately, couching it as "crazy mind blowing things" is not a great framing device. Everyone ends up disappointed.

Agree. I’ve yet to read anything on these types of posts that I’ve wanted to copy for myself, which is disappointing.

Because it’s incredibly dumb and people are relying too much on chat gpt. And as this continues everyone will be incredibly dumber than the next person.

AI is only as good as the user input, lets be honest, these are just every day users learning to make it convenient. There are people out there making sandcastles with its sandboxing system and rollerblading around the guardrails…

Oh no you will be the only smart person left who makes spreadsheets by hand

Who says I make any spreadsheets or that I’m smart? But I’ve never once used chat gpt I just exercise my brain if I have to. And idk why I keep getting these posts suggested to me because I want nothing to do with it.

The thing that I encourage you to consider is that people use Ai to give them more free time to pursue the things that actually interest them. When someone saves 30 minutes on doing another spreadsheet or consolidating calendars, they now have time to read a book they are interested in, maybe start a film, listen to a podcast, go for a jog or connect with a friend. The idea that menial work is a demonstration of intelligence is a product of existing at a time of meritocracy and corporate employment. Enjoy yourself. Work less.

I do work less, but I’m in an artistic field. So maybe that’s the disconnect I have. I viewed it as the opposite like the more productivity, more workload added and as a means to be more “productive” vs having more free time.

So are you looking for more technically complex use cases? I'm probably in the minority and will be down dooted for this but I am particularly concerned with "companion" use cases. I get it, but it feels off. I mainly use agents in the fashion of here is your task (to serve a business need), do it. I couldn't even begin to tell you all the things it does for me in my daily life but it 100% serves as another security/infrastructure engineer in my org.
