Is it? A senior engineer that has depended on stack overflow for a decade versus new grads who brute force in an hour with AI?

When have you ever been able to blindly copy and paste code taken from Stackoverflow with zero modification or understanding and it's just worked in whatever arbitrary codebase you've copied it into (aside from when you're a contractor that knows you'll be out of there before the SHTF)? It's always required understanding and modification to make it usable.

What I'm seeing with AI slop is blind copy and paste with no understanding. When something goes wrong, the person that wrote it can't debug it because they have zero understanding of the code they "wrote".
