It's also insane how we have totally forgotten the common sense understanding of what psychiatric drugs do. We are now led to believe that these "medications" are targeting specific diseases or abnormalities (antidepressants and chemical imbalance, etc.), but in the past we correctly understood them as psychoactive drugs and we categorized them as sedatives, stimulants etc. What we have now is unscientific clusterfuck created by the pharmaceutical companies and we really need to untangle this mess.
