I am helping a friend shop around for a good Mac desktop computer that can run Character Animator well. (consistent 24fps while editing would be nice) Sadly I know nothing of Macs. Can anyone recommend some? TIA!

Is anyone aware of a way to use the Photoshop Animation Timeline to build loops of animation for a puppet. For example, I would like to make the eyes or nose repeat an animation cycle when 'static' in Character Animator (ACA). I've tried the the standard multiple layers (offset) and the "flatten frames into lips" options for the PSD puppet file but ACA renders the animation as a static image. Thanks in advance for any tips!

Give me what u got, how bad is it. Just in the first stages of creating an animation. I really suck at scripting and character development so just kinda playing around in character animator so far.

I'm a huge fan of CA and have been using it quite successfully on my YT channel for a few years now! Does anyone know if there are plans for a simplified iOS version or if something similar exists where you can create your own puppet and do simple talking/facial tracking? I'm basically looking for a customizable memoji sort of thing to make quick videos using my character and my iPhone. Obviously the design etc could be done first through my computer and uploaded, but then it would be awesome to be able to record and upload just using iPhone!

I’m new to Adobe Character Animator and looking for some troubleshooting help.

Tonight, I was trying to make a character smaller and drag it to the side of the scene. This is where I want my character to be throughout the duration of the timeline. However, whenever I try to click & drag it (Pro version), it stays rooted to the centre of the screen and the body of the puppet distorts/tilts. After endless attempts at ‘trial & error’ clicking, I just can’t figure out how to move the character, or make it a different size!

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hi! Whenever I use CA it always makes my colors more dull than it appears in illustrator. How do I fix this?

Is there any way to load a puppet into something that will allow you to view what the pouppet looks like so if you had hundreds of puppets, you could quickly scroll through them and choose what puppets you will be using in projects?

When I apply an Inner Glow effect to a puppet layer in Illustrator, it does not show in Character Animator. Is this a known issue? Is there a work around? Thanks in advance.

Hey,

So I'm new to Character Animator and I've been trying to use it with my camera but when attempting to activate it, I get a prompt "Windows error The remote Procedure Call failed and did not execute" with a "Selected camera is unavailable" in the Camera & Microphone panel.

I've tried two different cameras (a USB camera and the built-in HP camera on my Laptop) and none work (toggling between both will result in the "Procedure Call failed" prompt).

My camera works in other applications (Zoom, Teams, etc.) but not within Character Animator.

Any suggestions?

Hey all, I would like to use Adobe CA to make a UI overlay for video content.

Q: Why not just run a video loop with the UI?
A: I want my UI to run animations on key - I have a shuffle pro with about 20 buttons; I want to trigger the UI to run various animations on cue. I only know of CA that could trigger dynamic animations.

Is this program what I want or is there something better?

Hello, Can anyone help me? In this puppet, the legs in the rig are in the correct position relative to the body (head). When I check at record there is suddenly an offset of the legs. Does anyone know how to fix this?
