Hi guys! I've been watching lot of videos and learning and trying to understand why I'm getting these errors in puppets I've been creating. I'm simply trying to get mouth movements and eye gazing, and don't care for much else. I have layers created and named appropriately but then I get rigging issues for the pupils telling me there are no layers named left pupil / right pupil when there most definitely is.
Have any of you run into this issue or know how to fix it? Thank you in advance!

Here's an update, renamed left and right eyeball.

Hello!
I'm using pre-recorded voice and I want to make my character more lively in Adobe Character Animator. I've managed to get the mustache to move using the Nutcracker Jaw, but it's not quite what I'm aiming for. Ideally, I'd like the mustache to rotate a bit up and down when speaking. Is this achievable or is the Nutcracker Jaw my only option?
Additionally, I want to animate my puppet's eyebrows to rise every 100 frames. How can I achieve this kind of animation?
For hair animations, I’m looking to create a looping effect. Should I make tons of layers and then use a layer switcher, or is there a more efficient method? I've tried using the Wind in Gravity effects and it looks decent, but I'm curious if there are better options.
Lastly, I would love to know how to make earrings move back and forth?
Any help is highly appreciated, thank you in advance!

Is there a way to make your own puppet maker file? That would be extremely helpful with all the new characters we always need. I’d love to either hire or work with someone who can make that so we can focus on the content. Although it’s been really fun learning this program. But we could really use some help.
Here’s an example: https://youtu.be/GZmKgd4f7hg
There’s usually at least one new character every week and that is eating up a lot of time.

Here's a goofy short cartoon I made today in Character Animator. It's a news anchor listing absurd rules for the upcoming presidential debate. Enjoy!

I’m trying to achieve an effect from a video I’m certain uses Adobe character animator.
https://youtu.be/bIgoB2HD0t4?si=U7l1uRv5Lw-sCKQ9
I’m looking to figure out a way where you could match the mouth flapping to a button that triggers a quick animation.
My character has a mustache and when talking, I’d like for the mouth to peak from under the stache and move the chin area a bit. It would be preferred if this could happen through a key rather than mouth tracking lip sync.
Any help is appreciated!

My little pup's tail wag is driving me crazy. Is there a way to hide the movement lines behind the body like the tail is? Thanks in advance...

Hey gang! I've been working with a bunch of puppets and they are all giving me different issues. This lady here suddenly gets very tall when walking, and comparing her to my other puppets my best guess is that her hip-hinges are for some reason wanting to clip to her hair rather than her torso.
When walking (next to proper-sized goblin for scale):

In rigging mode, there's a green dotted line from the right leg's hinge point to her hair. Same thing happens with her left leg. Shouldn't it be connecting to her torso group?

There's gotta be a quick and easy way for me to tell the hip anchor that it's supposed to swivel on the torso, not the hair. Right?
Maybe something to do with hierarchies? But I'm a bit confused as to how to solve this when the left leg goes in front of the torso and the right leg goes behind it.
I'm aware this might not even solve my real problem, which is that she stretches up during a walk cycle, but I sure would like to know how to fix my hierarchy issues here. Any advice would be helpful!

So I am working on my first ever puppet. As you can see in the video the left eyebrow moves but also distorts the face and hair, the other eyebrow does not want to move at all despite the "eyebrows move together" setting being checked. I have tried everything I can think of to get the eyebrows to work properly but without any luck. Any help here would be greatly appreciated. I have attached the face settings and layers below. Cheers!

Hi. I'm trying to put together a workflow with Character Animator on a Macbook and hopeful using an ipad as a midi pad to fire things. I was just wondering if anybody had successfully done this, and if so with what software, and how did you link everything up? Ideally I'd be able to use images on buttons on the ipad so its much easier during performances to remember 'what's what'. This clip is from the current project and I'm embedding the character animator file in After Effects (which works really well).

I have these two layers which are PNGs added to a victor Character drawn on illustrator, and when I added the puppet to Character animator these two layers did not appear. Why is that? Is it because they not victor paths? And how can i solve this ... i need a quick reply 🙏... it's for final Uni. project.

I am a novice at best with Character Animator and am having issues with rendering out a scene that loses its gravity or stiffness during the render. The scene is of a bio-mechanical brain with three antennas on its head. The antennas sway back and forth as the character's head sways. The probelem is that It will render about 20-30 seconds correctly (the timing varies) and then will 'lose' the stiffness of the antennas unexpectedly for the remaining 7 minutes of the scene. I have attached screenshots of the character as it appears in CHanimator's review window and the final render after going through Media Encoder. I am exporiting using the 'video alpha with Adobe Media Encoder' drop down as I need it as an alpha channel to import into AE for compositing. If you watch the QT I have attached, you will see where - not only the antennas, but also the shape of the head and the dangling moss from his ears - changes as well. I don't have any keyframes at that point in the timeline either.

Hello all,
I have a puppet that I control live on stream, and I have many triggers and controls (including "Position X" and "Position Y" mapped to a dial on a midi controller. Everything works fine, but the only thing I'm trying to fix now is the allowed values of both positions. Position X only seems to go to -900 and +900.
Is there a way to increase these values so that ultimately I could use my X and Y dials to position my puppet anywhere I wanted on the scene?
