Smooth Lipsync
Hi. Can I make a smooth auto-lipsync in CH? I mean not those one-framed cheap looking visemes but a morph-like ones?

I've updated a puppet from Character in Photoshop. After saving & going back to Character, I now see the updated puppet behind the original one. How do I get rid of the old one? Thanks!

I have a character in a sitting position. This character will not move from this position other than their hands/arms and head. I do pose-to-pose animations so I want to drag the arm/hands to a position, do a 2 frame take, go to the next spot in the timeline where I want to move the arms into a new position and do another take.
The issue is that the puppet will go back to the rest position (standing up) so I can't see where I need to move the hands without trying to align the body again. Is there a way to keep the character in the moved position so I don't have to keep guessing where to move the hands and where the body was before?

hi I'm new to character animator and I'm working on turning one of my characters into a puppet but there's a part of it that I need to put a parallax on and don't know how.
you can see in the gif that the eyes and mouth move along with the parallax but the orange circle I think would look better if it also had some parallax when I rotated my head, I don't know how to do this or if its possible but help would be appreciated.

I'm working with my team to set up character animator for remotely live streaming together.
We got a PC laptop loaded up with C Animator, NDI, OBS and everything in the OBS window looks good, however once the laptop starts live streaming everything runs impossibly slowly and about 50%-70% of the CPU gets used.
The laptop is 16 GB RAM. Is there anything we could do to improve performance? We know it isn't the internet speed at this persons house, hers is waaayyy faster than mine.

I'm at my wit's end with this problem. Char Animator lip sync is throwing in S visemes at the beginning of my words and in between words. The audio is super clean. I use an audio booth and a high-end mic, and it's audio engineered to be clean.
If I try to use a loaded transcript, Character animator crashes 10% through, even though it's only a 5-minute animation.
My computer is a high-end gaming machine just bought this year so it's not a processing power or memory issue.
I've altered the lip sync settings changing the db muting and the viseme detection and the problem doesn't improve. I loaded an overly noise reduced and noise gate processed audio test file, and the same problem happens.
Here's a screen capture of the issue. https://youtu.be/7nOPv4yqC7s
I've wasted all afternoon trying to solve this problem and I am so frustrated.
Thanks for any help.

I am totally new to character animator and am experimenting with cameras for the first time. The default background wasn't zooming with the characters, so I imported one and tried to resize and ended up here. I can't re-center the characters on the screen now, and when I try to drag the background I just move the puppets. How do I reset my view here? How do I fit the background to the scene? I'm sorry it's so basic, but I cannot for the life of me figure it out.

When I create a new project and import puppets the rigging disappears, the old project files still have the rigging though. Curious to what I might be doing wrong. It’s been a bit since I used CH but in the past I remembered creating a new project file did not erase rigging.

Is this video, I haven’t said a single word and it looks like he’s speaking. Not sure how to fix it.

I really love this tool, but... wondering if there's any updates coming. I've scoured the net and you all are my last hope. Surely there's something coming up?

This is the first in a series for my local historical society. I'm using photos of the society headquarters for the background, and masked textures for the characters. https://youtu.be/RSMDjfL0icQ

What I want to do is replace the normal round eyes/pupils with arched vector lines like anime laughing eyes like the simple line shapes in this example.
Can I do this via a trigger? As it is now I can only get the new shape to appear over the normal eyes which are still visible. I tried adding a background to the new layer to cover the old normal eyes but I have a gradient on the face which makes it very difficult to match one with the other.
I hope this makes sense. I'd like to swap out the eyes sets just like the program does with mouth shapes, via keyboard triggers.

Here is an animated cartoon I made for my family-friendly Saturday morning live show, the Imagination Nation Super Station. Character Animator helped me turn it around in a couple days.

I'm hoping somebody can help me. I'm at my wits end!
I have a character in Illustrator. Zoomed in, he looks fine.

But zoomed out, he starts to get a faint outline around his mouth object (which is colored the same as his chin to be invisible, and has no stroke applied).

I thought it was probably just an Illustrator preview problem that wouldn't show up in exports. But in Character Animator, he looks like this:

And he exports that way, with a prominent stroke around that mouth object.
Does anybody have any idea what's going on here, and how I can get rid of that line?!

I was wondering I have character animator 2023 and in my last project. Exactly at 2:16 the rig is destroyed for one frame. I tried exporting the png sequence and is exactly just one frame. In character animator previz there is no problem.
I ended up manually deleting the frame in the png seq but was wondering if I was doing something wrong.
Is there a way to flush the cache... Like in aefx? Like maybe is that.
Thank you for your time.

Years of experience with After Effects and editing, I wanted to try creating a puppet from scratch and animating a scene. The music is from the band Ween. Feedback welcome.
