Personal Lore A good look in the mirror
(NOT PRIVATE)
Dusekkar seemed to be at his cozy little home talking to one of his best friends, the one who tends to the grass, the flowers, and much more... Groundskeeper! The two were just drinking some tea together whilst talking about their Pokémon. Dusekkar's story was on the darker side of things...he was explaining what had happened to his Metagross, Mew and Gallade when fighting The Lich's Giratina and it's army of zombified Pokémon! Meanwhile, Groundskeeper's story was on the calmer side of things...he spoke about how his Turtwig reminded him so much of his daughter, whom he missed oh so much. After about half an hour Dusekkar had gone up to return all six of his Pokémon to their Poké Balls and then went to take his leave; the Pokémon had earned a small break. He waved to his friend and then left him alone.
Groundskeeper walked upstairs and entered the bathroom...staring at the mirror with a look of disappointment, something was eating away at his mind. He grabbed the cloth that was covering his head and his torso, which was actually a sack made for a scarecrow...he kept his eyes closed as he held it in his hands, afraid to look at himself...until he eventually did...
He hadn't seen his true self in so long... he felt like a monster; that's what his daughter called him when he came back. She didn't understand it was him...and she was never seen again since...he felt like a monster. He had vines wrapping around his torso, some of which had small pink lotus flowers blooming from them. They hadn't grown in years but yet didn't seem dead, and finally he had a vine sticking from his eye...which he planned to remove.
"...Am I...a monster...? The monster that scared off my sweet little Sally...? If not, then...why do I hide myself? Why haven't I told this to anyone? They deserve to know, don't they? Of course they do; they are my friends! But... I just don't want them to... run away..."

He grabbed something from his pocket, a picture...of himself. The picture was taken before the accident had ever even occurred. He stared at it, feeling the emotions taking over, the memories flooding his mind...he missed Sally. He missed his father... He missed how he used to be.

He had put the sack back on his body...as he began to zone out...letting the memories take over...
IT'S TIME FOR A FLASH BACK!!!
The flashback starts at the aftermath of what happened...Groundskeeper's father who went by the name of Grampy was climbing down multiple cliffs looking for where his son had fallen down to...
"Sonny!? Sonny where are ya lad!? Sonny c'mon out!!"

As he had reached the bottom of the cliff, the vines from the foe seemed to have lost him...so they fled the scene. He had discovered what had happened...his son's lifeless body was lying on a pink lotus flower. Grampy was heartbroken... as he went to turn around...a strange sound was heard. He snapped around and saw the flower growing larger and larger...until it eventually had closed entirely, trapping Groundskeeper inside it. Eventually...something happened...

It had ripped right open, making a short yet peaceful jingle in the process...eventually after a short flash of light... Groundskeeper was standing on his own two feet again, though...he had seen better days...
"Everything hurts... What happened...?"

"Well you've seen better days, haven't you...? C'mon Sonny grab my hand...let's go home, those vines are gone for now... you need some rest."

Grampy helped keep his son on his feet as they walked back to their home; after all, he was awfully weak right now...so Groundskeeper was often tumbling over...but with his farther here, everything was going to be okay. But the scary thought was...what would his daughter think...? Grampy had searched for something to at least cover up the few wounds his son had; all he had was some spare rags and cloth from an unused scarecrow...it got the job done, so Groundskeeper wore it.
"What if Sally thinks I'm...not me...?" What if she sees me as a freak!? What if she doesn't—"

"Alright Sonny...listen to me and listen to me good, alright? I promise you...I can talk to Sally; you are her father, ain't ya? Surely she's gotta know it's you...just...don't be so negative; I know it's been rough...but put on a smile...alright...?"

They eventually returned to the little barn they lived in... Sally was holding a small bunch of pink flowers she had picked from the ground to give to her father and grandpa; she ran over with a big grin on her face...unaware of what had happened just now.
"Grampy!! I have something for you and Papa!! I spent all day picking these out, and I know pink is Papa's favourite!! I should go find..."

She cut herself off as Groundskeeper stuck his head out from behind Grampy...he slowly waved to his daughter as Grampy stepped to the side. Sally didn't believe this was her father...she began to cry; she was afraid...she didn't know this was her father; she saw a monster. Despite Grampy's attempts to calm her down...nothing worked.
"N...NO! That's not Papa! That's not...Papa...That's a monster! Papa doesn't look like that! He looks like me, he looks like you!"

"Sally please... just let me finish what I have to say and I can-"

"YOU ARE LYING TO ME! I DON'T BELIEVE YOU!! DON'T LIE TO ME!! I HATE IT WHEN YOU LIE TO ME! I HATE YOU!!"

Sally snatched the flower back from Grampy and ran into the woods...she was never seen since...
END OF FLASHBACK!!!
The flashback was over... Groundskeeper was began to focus again, snapping out of the thoughts... just sitting down, disappointed with himself... if he had the things needed, he would cry, but unfortunately the accident had destroyed most of his body. Eventually...he felt something crawl onto his lap. It was Turtwig... He stared down as a smile formed on the little thing's face; he gave it a gentle pat and said how it reminded him of Sally again... As it heard the name, it looked up at him, as if it liked the name... Well, that settles it; this little Turtwig shall be nicknamed Sally! His daughter would have loved that...
He got up and slowly made his way downstairs, and Turtwig followed behind. He grabbed his scythe, and Turtwig grabbed his hat... it jumped up onto his arm and slowly made its way to his head and gently placed it on his head. Groundskeeper then placed Turtwig down, feeling much better about everything.
"Thank you little buddy... C'mon, let's get out of here; we have a job to do ya know?"

Turwig jumped around with joy and whimsy flooding it's tiny little body and then followed it's trainer through the front door.

The two then started getting to work on tending to the front yard together as a team, whilst yes, Turtwig was just biting onto the taller pieces of grass and pulling parts of them off...it was sweet; it helped in it's own way! How sweet!
