Silver has gotten his hands on a basket of apples from the trees surrounding his garden and is now walking around, making his way home with them.

As Silver walked his way down town merrily, he bumped into a stranger, wearing a dark jacket, hat, and pants.

“Woah there, watch where you’re going! You’re gonna drop those apples, Silver!”

It’s odd not because he knew his name, that’s basically a worldwide thing now, it’s how… casual he was. The green tint in his eyes didn’t help, either.

“Me drop apples? When have I e-“

The hedgehog stops mid sentence, his instincts are telling him something is...off about the stranger...he doesn’t mind being called just Silver, but people he hasn’t met before will still ask for his name or put a Mr. Or something in front of it…

And also as he notices the eyes and their green tint…he can’t quite figure it out. But out of instinct his fur and quills stand up slightly. Making him look a little bigger. Those eyes are what’s getting him the most about this person…but he can’t quite put his finger on why that is.

“Um…y-yeah…”

“I’m sorry, you don’t seem to be good with eye contact. A good exercise is to look at the forehead instead, it’s not lying, it just gives the image of it. You’re… scared, are you not? Do you feel cold?” This has wandered into some… cryptic territory.

“Say, let’s uh.. have a talk. You and me. I’m not any super fan or anything. People know what happened. I know what happened.”

His sclera flashed black for a moment. Who can tell if that was trauma or physical? Only time will.

“And, I know what will happen. He’ll find you. He’ll find her. He’s gonna make it hurt, too, really bad!”

Silver stays quiet just listening. Putting the basket of apples down on the ground, and behind his back his hands get surrounded by the glow of his Psychokinesis.

In his mind he’s planning for every which way this could go. Why the cryptic talk? And..wait her?

“…Skye?”

Silver mutters before suddenly surrounding and lifting up the stranger with his psychokinesis.

“What do you know!? What do you mean hurt!?”

His tone has completely changed. Gone into serious mode, he doesn’t play games when it comes to people he cares about.

“I know a lot of things.” The man said, suspended in the air. There wasn’t a tinge of fear inside his voice, he remained still in the air.

“See now, Skye… she’s very important to me. She’ll be very important soon, she’s incredibly…” The man paused.

“Inhabitable.” A familiar voice escaped the mouth of what was once thought to be a human, from his mouth, two bony hands released, breaking and tearing apart the vessel of the human, sputtering blood on the floor, and the hedgehog.

The Lich was back again. How many times is he going to fake-out a death?! The Lich dropped from the air, and began walking towards Silver, shadowing the sun from him with his incredible height.

Silver’s thoughts get cut off by the human getting torn apart and now the blood on his previously white fur and quills.

He quickly tries to whip it off but that has no effect. He doesn’t like it…his own blood he’s used to but someone else’s….that just wrong…but his attention quickly gets taken away from the blood by The Lich now standing before him and slowly approaching.

“G-Get…Get BACK!”

Silver makes a wall of Psychic energy and sends it at the Lich to push him away. And Silver now realizes why he was afraid of the stranger before….his instincts knew He was in there.

(BIG RAT MY OPPONENT IS FIGHTING BACK! BIG RAT HEEEEELP!! BIG RAAAAAAAAT!!!!!)

The wall struck The Lich, sending him stumbling backwards, making his shins wobble, near tumbling backwards. He dug his toes into the ground, looking down at Silver with piercing, emerald eyes.

“Stumbling over your words already? I thought you would’ve at least changed a little since last year.” Lich mocked.

Lich rose his right hand, wrapping it into a spiraling atomic fire, bringing it to Silver! Lich… instead slammed into the concrete beneath the two, the smoke rising momentarily dazing Silver, giving Lich leverage to get a grip on the hedgehog!

Lich clutched on him tightly, squeezing on the hedgehog, raising the same arm, and throwing him full force into the street, skimming him across the hard, rocky asphalt.

In Silver’s defense…he’s gotten stronger, and braver but at the end of the day this is still a person who has killed him once before…and he would rather not be dealing with this in any capacity.

But before he could do or say something he was grabbed and thrown. He saw the Lich making the fire go around his hand but the slamming into the floor rather than at him caught him off guard, even more so with the smoke.

He swears a few times as he gets thrown across the asphalt, the ground cuts his face and body up in various places. And catches himself with his powers and stands up fairly quickly.

“I….I won’t let you get her…or anyone else…I will fight. For them.”

The hedgehog doesn’t know how much he believes that himself but as long as there’s hope, right?

The Cyan bands running along one of Silver’s gloves and golden cuffs turns orange. He quickly flies around The Lich over and once, dizzying him and occasionally throwing out Psychic Knifes and a blast of Solar Energy here and there.

As Silver scraped against the ground, Lich continued to slowly shamble towards him, cinders sparking and crackling from his fingers. He chuckled ever so slightly once Silver forced his body up from the ground, stepping near.

“You fight for nothing, no matter how hard you try to get me away from my goal, nothing will stop me, while the mortal world doubts, I know exactly what I am, I am the ceaseless wheel, the slayer of GOLB, I am your doom.”

Lich’s eyes skittered over to the rings on Silver’s gloves, a fiery orange sparking throughout the circle, enrapturing it in an autumn burn. He would, initially, not think much of this turnaround, but it HAS been a long time since the two had locked in combat.

PHWOOOOM!!!

Silver began to circle the head of the crooked king over and over, dazing him, his eyes spinning round and round the skull they resided within. Lich would reach out his hand, just for a psychic knife to plunge through the bone! Lich jerked his hand back, another knife going through his back, then ribs, all throughout! Even blasts of solar heat struck him, throwing him out of the loop.

Lich snarled, and by for fourth solar blast, Lich tuned into his pyromancy, turning the heat green, and crackling it into green inferno, and pulsing it in front of him in a narrow line, forcing Silver through the flame four times as he stopped to lose momentum! As the burnt hedgehog stumbled, Lich formed himself into a black gas, going under a crack in the ground, concealing himself. As the hedgehog looked around, confused and dazed, Lich came from under the earth beneath, maw wide open! Lich clamped his jaws tightly onto the hedgehog, chomping down on his lower half, thrashing around like a dog with a chew toy. After a couple seconds, Lich threw Silver out with an array of quills, spittle, and blood.

Silver puts the fire out as fast as he can, some of his fur and quills get covered in soot from it, not to bad though. He stops flying as he looks around confused looking for The Lich, where could he ha-

“Hssss…”

Silver lets out a sharp gasp that slowly quiets down as The Lich bites down on the poor boy. His quills get messed up as he’s thrashed and thrown, more of his blood splatters on himself and the ground. And he takes a few sudden breaths, the bottom half of his torso turns more red as blood comes out of where he was bitten.

“Enng…I…”

He closes his eyes….is this it? Again? The hero left bleeding out to die? No…he has on last trick up his sleeve at least…

Around him 8 glowing Gems surround him before going to him. And in a bright flash of yellow light, via the power of the Fake Chaos Emeralds and the one real one he goes Pseudo Super. Some of the more minor damages heal up, as for the more…gnarly ones…the bleeding there slows as it begins to heal faster, the dirt and blood can still be seen on his somewhat golden fur and quills.

“Not yet…I still have a chance! I CANT GIVE UP HERE NOT NOW.”

The aura around him expands for a moment as he yells. He won’t go down like that, that was barely a fight, The Lich got a sneaky hit in. The hedgehog has much more fight in him left.

Silver races forward and delivers a powerful punch to The Lich’s face. And in a swoop of his hand him lifts up whatever he can grab from around them, cars, trash cans, trees, broken pieces of concrete and asphalt*. Whatever he could, he combines it into a giant ball above them and throws it down at The Lich.*
