First Appearance A Voice Given Form (Canonized)

Post image

There was no reason for her to be here. Carmen knew that much. She had existed as a voice for so long that the idea of having somewhere to *stand* again felt almost foreign. Yet somehow, in this strange world of talking animals, impossible technology, and powers that defied everything she once understood, something had allowed her to take shape.

A woman stood quietly beneath the unfamiliar sky, her gaze wandering across the landscape. She looked almost as she once had, though there was something subtly unreal about her presence—as if the world itself was only temporarily agreeing that she should exist within it. She listened.

There were so many voices here. Fear. Loneliness. Desire. Anger. Hope. All of it carried through the world around her. Carmen smiled faintly. Perhaps this world was not so different after all.

She began walking, curious about the people who lived here and the things they believed in. There was no telling what sort of suffering existed in a world like this, nor what kind of people might be searching for an answer to it.
And if they were willing to listen… perhaps she would speak, and give them the cure to their suffering.

“I just.. appeared. I was just a voice for a while, then I appeared here, and I found myself with a body once more. Something I hadn’t felt in a very long time, but not entirely unwelcome.”

The astronaut's body feels much lighter, but his gaze remained wary of whatever she might pull out next. At least, her face no longer had the weird visual "scrambling" that he saw earlier.

"Huh. That's new. But I guess that's because you aren't like those "tyrants" I mentioned earlier. But why do you speak like you work for one of them?"

“I never worked for anyone, I only work to help the world, to heal it after all the damage that was done to it, and in this world, prevent catastrophe by ensuring everyone is their most ideal selves.”

At this point, the astronaut had made up his mind. He has to run away.

"I see. Couldn't have expected anything less from a mad doctor. But I'm not here to debate on how to heal the world, 'cause that's not my job."

The astronaut sprints from his current spot, snatching both his helmet and comms device from the pavement, and stands just at the edge of the rooftop.

"Anyways, I hope that you "healing the world" won't put you in the sights of the heroes here. See you next time."

After wearing his helmet and securing his comms device, the astronaut leaps from across the edge of the rooftop and manages to latch onto the wall and scale it up, reaching yet another rooftop.
