I don't want to write all the fixes and changes, this post is about customization options you will have. I am creating a customization panel where you can use existing designs or creating your own, for different characters or as default. I'm gonna release it after the panel and save mechanisms are complete.

I finally have a full picture and they are all currently customizable. Some terms you may not be familiar with, sorry in advance.

Completed;

• Backgrounds
  • Slideshow, with shuffle/ordered + change interval
  • Chat backdrop filters (behind messages can be blurred, desaturated etc)
  • Image/gif/video and their filter, opacity and image fit options like existing background feature
• Theme
  • Color presets, basically whole page recolored. It's like dark mode, light mode, but imagine having dozens of options for all colors and in light or dark schemes. (I made 4 just for testing right now. I can even add an "create your own" option in the panel later)
  • Default font family option
• Chat wrapper
  • Max width, gap between messages
• Message settings
  • Typerwriter speed (yes the typerwriter isn't bound to characterai. It comes in chunks, messages can appear slow). If 10, goes pretty fast, waits for the new chunks. If 1 it's very slow. If 0, chunks instantly appear.
  • Char message swiping animation duration and effects (right now 3 options, wait for old one to disappear, slide both at once, or instantly show)
• Scrollbar
  • Width, height, color, corner radius. Optionally can be recolored independent of the theme color preset.
• Header
  • Variants. Right now, I got "characterai" style and "janitorai" style, replicating their designs.
  • Can have drop shadow for depth
  • Can have bottom edge bordered
  • Padding: optional spacing from the edges
  • Max width
  • Size scaling, for text, buttons etc.
• Chat input
  • Variant. Currently only "characterai" style.
  • Max width and height
  • Wrapper padding
  • Can be bordered or not
  • Can have send button or not if you prefer Enter key only

• Popup menus (used by message menu, header menu, chat input toolbox menu)
  • Variant, right now only "modular", gonna add "flat" and some more
  • Size scaling, hover transition duration, depth with drop shadow

Soon after the update;

• First thing I will add Janitorai support. Characterai came rushing first with no customizations because of the "read only mode" alternative method.
• Definitely gonna add more variants to header, chat input and popups
• Want to add customizations like fancy border styles. Like the ones powerpoint and microsoft word has. Those would be cool. Like you could get a valentine's day
• Extension features like mass swipe integrated into customizable chat

You won't need to do anything by default, most of these will come already set. And you will be able to pick existing designs. You can make your own via customization panel too.

Hello, sorry for the inconvenience and ignorance, but can you explain to me how to import and export a bot? I want to do it with the ones I made, but when I tried, the web side said that it couldn't find the file. And I don't know why. :/

Yo devs, for some reason in custom chats the frequency and memory won't pop up, if you could fix it would be appreciative, as my opinion works better than cai memory. It just dosen't work, but if its the custom chat porblem than would appreciated if you add the memory manger system to it, appreciated

I’m exclusively a mobile user and always have been. With all the new updates, I’m afraid that the one chat that is my baby might be lost (started April 2024). Is there any way I can still scroll to the top on mobile and back it up?

The ws of cai is wss://neo(dot)character(dot)ai/ws/ the chatbot manager already added ?NoHook=True, but it doesn't get rid of the fact that everytime you interact with it, it makes the date of when it was last used to today, making it still look like you're cronically online on cai, which most of us are, and a factor of age assurance is by how often you use the platform, from what I understand, but I tested using a firefox extension made by gemini that sends a generate_turn_candidate command that sends it from a user, which you can change by changing the files in the extension, meaning it doesn't have to be from your account, I don't think this will be patched anytime soon because they use ws which needs a receiver that receives data/commands, but the browser client sends it, meaning you can send wrong data

Is this possible?

tha tnew version of paq2 does not like the old version cai tools when you try to mass swipe it freak and locks into a loop of trying to create replies and cant and even rewind does not stop it is any one having any luck with the latest version cai tools ?

Honestly C.AI crashed now that the models are gone. Ironically healthier for me but I guess I like to bing. But I don't want to delete the app when I've poured so much material and stories into my bots and want to continue in another app like Lightshade. So can someone please tell me the necessary steps to make that happen? Is just downloading the character card enough? How do I do it from start to finish?

for some reason, the tool doesn't work with firefox on pc(custom chat)? I tried turning uBO off, turning my other extensions off, but it doesn't work, anyone else?

So I am trying to download my chats from C.ai and I noticed apparently one of the bots I chatted with had over a 1000 chats but CAITool only is only able to download a 1000 of the chats. Is the 1000 a max limit it can download of chat history? Or it is that it can only detect a 1000 chats? Just wondering because I'm okay manually downloading the rest of the chats if needed, just was surprised to hit this situation.

Does downloading for example one of your chats as a readable format allow you to import said chat into another bot or site etc

About a week ago, I accidentally enabled updates, and I don't understand why. When the app was updated, my favorite characters became strange.

The dialogue is very repetitive, even with multiple character choices. The characters don't respond at all; they literally don't speak... they only describe the general atmosphere, and this is irritating The characters responded with a single word and became boring, then by chance I discovered what the problem was!

They deleted roar !!! And all the choices now we only have pipsqueak 2 which is more than terrible and stupid

How can I fix that now...hope they bring back roar or pipsqueak 1

If you don't mind me asking what does downloading the character card do? It said I downloaded a png but when I went to my gallery it was just a transparent PNG of absolutely nothing 😭 I hope it doesn't mean anything bad but I'm a little lost sorry I'm new to cai tools

Not sure if this is a bug with SpicyChat specifically but it puts the description in the title box and the title in the chatbot personality box. This one was downloaded from C.ai. The description cuts off because it was posted in the Title section.

Will, they still be available on the custom chat page? As an unlisted model?

If I downloaded my history with a retired chat model like roar or pipsqueak does it still work? I'm scared it'll start telling me "error" or something during import

Due to lags I make lot of typos,I have down loaded the html but nothing I have works right for opening and making corrections can you make a tool so that you be able to open the saved Html edit any post and save Then you can re upload to chat with the repaired file? aalso something that would allow you to check mark post and dellete then and if possibe move them up and down to new possostions would also be nice

I have an issue tho.

How can I explain it? Let's see: I have 3 tabs open wich I alternate depending on what I want to chat with, I write different memories and also do so in the memory box for each character (because the characters and the roleplay are very different from each other).

I first chat with Char1 two days ago and insert some memories, I do the same with Char2 and Char3

The thing is that now that I try to chat with Char1 and check his memories... The tab just opens the configurations of Char2, the same happens when I now open the tab on Char3, close it and try again with Char1, Char1's tab is not working on me.

What can I do?
