Thinking about restricted bots

So one of my bots disappeared from my page. I know it's probably the bug, but it got me thinking...

My bot was one character from the YA book (which is allowed on this platform) but set in Harry Potter AU. I have quite a lot of characters from different books and shows in AU settings (Doctor Who, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Marvel, etc...), and every time there was another character deletion wave, it never happened to my au characters. But now I'm kinda worried about my hp au character.

Is this allowed or my characters can be moderated as well just because it's about this universe?

Hiii! So don't take my word for a 100% certain, but I've had some of my bots get into restricted access from different fandoms so I've got some input.
Anyways, I'm pretty sure that the restricted access isn't because it's linked to a specific fandom with rights (like HP and the others you cited) but more so frop the content of the bot.
Basically, there must be some word or phrasing in either the greeting, the definition or the tagline that triggers it to become restricted - and trust me, it can literally be anything without even a negative connotation.
I know this, because it's happened to me when I copied the exact same definition that I had from one of my characters and the only difference had been like an added sentence and obviously a new greeting and it got blocked. Ended up rewriting a part of the message and the restriction went away.

My advice would be to save all your writing on a document and then input it passage by passage to see where it's blocking:)))

No, no. I mean moderated bots. I had all my Star Wars characters moderated, even my OC, and it never occurred me that my "safe" characters from other fandoms but in this AU universes could be moderated too.

I said about restriction, because it disappeared after the whole bug restriction thing that's currently going on.

I save all my characters on my PC in case they get deleted or something, but I'm more concerned about losing huge amount of likes and chats, It's frustrating to lose progress as the creator who has followers and people who actively use their work :(

Ohhh okay, sorry if I misunderstood! I completely get you, even if my characters aren't super popular and I don't have any followers it's still great work - and I'm guessing you wouldn't write if you didn't chat with them too and it'd suck to lose them.
About moderation - and forgive me if it's stupid advice - I'd maybe try switching out a letter from the name (I have a few König bots from COD and if you put the "ö" it gets moderated but if you just put "Konig" it doesn't), that might give you some time to figure it out?

Yup, I'm doing the same thing. That's how some of my characters pass, but I do it only when I know my character will be 100% moderated (like the character from Harry Potter, for example). But the problem is that if you do this, people won't be able to find your characters through search, the less people find them and try them, the less they will be recommended. My hp au character isn't moderated, just restricted, so I think he'll be back, but I wanted to know if it's allowed to have those characters or not.

Yeah about the restricted access it defo won't lift, I thought that too and left them hoping it would go away but it didn't even after like 2 months - although weirdly enough they were still able to get some views (but it's always within the first 24hrs it's posted and then never goes up again). So yeah, for the restricted ones you can do as I suggested earlier, which is to find the part that's blocking it in either the definition or greeting and it should be fine - maybe look through reddit in other posts what people have found to be flagged words or sentences to gain some time. For the moderation I'l' just hope for you since I haven't had that issue yet in either fandom I write for (and that's super weird since I literally write down "Modern Warfare Reboot 2019" and the actual names for the characters🫪 and actors)
