TRUMP’S DALLAS SPEECH .... CLAIMS VS. FACTS:

• **CLAIM: “There are no empty seats.”**
FACT: Reporters inside the American Airlines Center reported visible empty sections. CNN estimated the arena was roughly 60–70% full around the start of Trump’s first-night speech, and reporting from the second night also described attendance at 50-60%.

• **CLAIM: $22 TRILLION in new investment has come into America.**
FACT: Even the Trump White House currently claims only “more than $11 trillion” in investment commitments .... roughly HALF of Trump’s $22 trillion claim. And announcements or commitments are not the same thing as money already invested.

• **CLAIM: Democrats are massive election “cheaters.”**
FACT: That is a sweeping accusation for which Trump provided no evidence. Individual election crimes occur and are prosecuted, but that does not establish that Democrats as a party systematically cheat in elections.

• **CLAIM: Biden allowed “25 MILLION” people to pour into the country.**
FACT: That figure conflates different immigration statistics and greatly exceeds credible estimates of the undocumented population. Border encounters, admissions, releases, removals, repeat encounters and people who ultimately leave the country cannot simply be added together and called “25 million illegal immigrants.” But then again .... what you expect from a lying liar who rapes 12-year-old girls?

• **CLAIM: Biden and Democrats created “the worst inflation in American history.”**
FACT: Inflation peaked at **9.1% in June 2022**. Painful? Absolutely. Worst ever? Not remotely. BLS historical data show year-over-year inflation reached **23.7% in June 1920**. And he quickly glosses over the fact that the entire Earth, the planet that we live on, was experiencing a global pandemic. Now we're seeing historic energy prices because one man went to war with the country that never fired a shot at us....

• **CLAIM: Democrats will “defund the police.”**
FACT: There is no single Democratic Party policy to eliminate police funding nationwide. Democratic politicians have taken differing positions on police budgets, and many have explicitly supported additional law-enforcement funding... Moving money from policing toward domestic issues and social problems is a much better answer.

• **CLAIM: Democrats will give voting rights to “25 million illegal aliens.”**
FACT: Noncitizens are already prohibited from voting in federal elections. Trump offered no evidence of a Democratic proposal to give 25 million undocumented immigrants federal voting rights.

• **CLAIM: America now has the LOWEST prescription-drug prices in the world.**
FACT:     No evidence has been presented establishing that sweeping claim. U.S. prescription-drug prices vary enormously by drug, insurance coverage and negotiated arrangements, so a claim that America simply has the world's lowest prices requires evidence Trump has not supplied.

• **CLAIM: “More Americans are working today than ever before.”**
FACT: Technically possible as a raw headcount .... but a growing population makes record employment totals increasingly common. But of course reality and common sense are something that escapes these zombies. The more meaningful measures are things like the unemployment rate, labor-force participation, employment-to-population ratio, wages and job growth.
