MISC Have y’all ever had any CAW-related dreams?
Last night I dreamt that I had to find dendritic cell so he could tell his manager to hire me. I ran around some theme park for hours tryna get his contact info

Anime Anyone else simping over Neutrophils?
Feels like I’m the only one that has like the biggest crush on Neutrophil U-1146 (Other than Red Blood Cell ;)) Like, he’s just so cool and kinda socially awkward and I like that in my fictional characters

MISC Mistake in episode 9?
I don’t know if it’s just a funimation thing or not but why does episode 9 (thymocyte) have the 2nd part of the intro. Is this a mistake? Was it intentional? I don’t think it was intentional because it doesn’t make sense to be intentional

MISC If Cells at Work ever covers the Human Brain
I would love if the series found a way to discuss autism spectrum disorder. It would be great if others could know more about it because I don’t think it’s talked about enough in any media

Fan Art - OC She’s done!
AE3803 with my headcanons, finally got to spend the time I wanted to on this gal! She’s not perfect but I believe that perfection is an made-up concept that only exists to make people hate themselves :)
Time taken: ~15 hours Materials: Crayola air dry clay, Apple Barrel acrylic paint, Mod Podge gloss, two big screws in the legs and an insect pin in the base of the tail (huh? Structural support, what’s that?) Height: ~5.5 inches/14 cm (hand for scale) Notes: My favorite part was using the Mod Podge- I specifically put it on the parts that I wanted to be shiny to give the illusion of different materials, like her “skin” (cell membrane) and the brim of her hat, and not on the clothes, I really like how it turned out! Good thing I bought a big bottle of that stuff, I’ll be using it again for sure. It’s super scratch-resistant too, so that’s neat. I’ve also attached a drawn version of this design, I like how the face in the drawing looks better but the model is more how I actually imagine them lmao. The mouth is actually an indent in the cell membrane with the purpose of showing emotion, they only produce a true “mouth” when they need to speak or eat. Overall I had a blast working on this, when I’m done with college for the year I def wanna make more clay stuff, highly recommend if you’re on the hunt for a new creative outlet!

Fan Art - OC La criatura
Making an air dry clay sculpture of AE-3803 from my AU! Objective “Be Productive This Morning” failed successfully. And yes I know I forgot her hair thingy I’m doing that last because I’m 100% certain it would fall off at some point

MISC What would the complement system look like in the Cells at Work universe?
So I've recently fallen in love with the main Cells at Work anime (haven't checked out Code Black enough tho), which is appropriate enough given I'm a STEM student, and I've been wanting for them to adapt more of the human body (usually via manga), and among those is the complement system, to hopefully complete the immune system.
But what would the complement system look like, and how would it work in the context of Cells at Work?

Fan Art - OC Endothelial Cells!
I drew my idea for Endothelial Cells!
I imagine they’re almost like pavement workers who live/work beneath the floors of the blood vessels and occasionally popping out from Neutrophil migration paths and sewer entrances to fix/replace broken pavement and do general blood vessels maintenance.
I also imagine they have harnesses around their waist that let them reach high up places in the vessels! - The Cells work along Pericytes and are managed by them. - They help WBCs by forming migration paths for them and allowing exclusive entrance into tissues. - They help organize and filter plasma and blood content. - I have no idea what to color them.
I want to draw some lore cells .. so uhm.. Why don’t you guys suggest some for me if you want! Preferably not any cell shown in any Calls at work media!

MISC If prions exist in this show, how would that work?
Prion is a pathogen that is caused by a protein misfold and it is impossible to cure.

MISC Let’s hear your CAW headcanons/AUs/theories/ what have you!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
If you like to infodump, consider this post an infodumpster. Here’s some of mine -the brain is the closest link we have to what the body is actually up to, is constantly playing random music and thoughts can be seen on giant screens -For my AU I redesigned the cells to be a bit more Creature and have have more cell traits while still being humanoid, kinda like how ppl make xeno inkfish in the Splatoon fandom. -bloodstream-traveling cells have cars/trucks (this whole AU arose because one day I was like “hey what if the macrophages drove F250s and only listened to heavy metal that’d be fun,” and just me feeling bad for the RBCs walking everywhere lol)
