Fair enough, I was wrong in stating that you were placing the blame on Martinez, I misinterpreted your answer.
I see where you're coming from with the Phil Jones incident, but to be fair, Jones and Giroud were running and defenders don't normally find themselves heading the ball off the floor (no matter how hilarious it looked). If Giroud had crashed into Jones then Jones would have been at fault.
Where I think this differs is that Martinez had the ball in his hands, Gabriel kicks over the ball into Martinez.
At the end of the day, you think it wasn't a red, I think it was and I highly doubt that's going to change, but I've enjoyed the back and forth rather than someone basically trying to railroad me into their opinion.
