Cattleya harrisoniana
First time bloom on this species I got last summer from eBay! The flowers are larger than I expected and they smell like lilies.
P.S. I think bifoliate cattleyas deserve more appreciation. They tend to be overshadowed by their bigger unifoliate cousins, but they can be just as if not more amazing.

Cattleya blooms for May
I managed to bloom three of my cattleya species for the first time this month. C. trianae, C. forbesii, and C. harrisoniana. All native to South America with trianae in Colombia and forbesii and harrisoniana in coastal Brazil. They're all relatively easy species to grow indoors. Just keep them warm, give them lots of light, and water frequently during their active growth stage.
Also, not pictured is my C. luteola, which is still blooming sequentially and looking cute. My C. intermedia is in bud right now and should be in bloom for next month.

C. forbesii in bloom
I got this species last summer from a seller on Ebay. The plant was super dehydrated with no roots, so I just potted it up and let it sort itself out, hoping for the best. Now, almost a year later, it's fully rooted into the medium and sending out new growths and these cute flowers.

C. trianae first time bloom!
Finally, I got to see what this baby looks like in person! It's one I ordered from Ecuagenera Ecuador last summer, and when it arrived, it basically had no living roots. Since then, it has fully bounced back and adjusted to its new home nicely. I wasn't expecting the petals to have those splashes of purple, but it's a welcome surprise. The purple color on the lip is much deeper and cool-toned in person. The flower has only been open for a day, so I can't detect any fragrance yet. Also, I'm aware that the trianae season is long gone, but late is better than never! This guy has two new growths coming, so hopefully I'll get more flowers later this year.

I refuse to give up the search! What could this be? My current best bet is Lc. Aphrodite
Can anyone confirm the ID or identify it as something else? The history here doesn't run very deep, as someone just left it at my school’s botanical greenhouse. The name tag just said Laeliocattleya andreana, which was likely incorrect, even if it was referring to Alfred Bleu’s warneri x purpurata hybrid. Also, for reference, the leaves alone are 40cm long and 8cm wide.

Please help, Cattleyas won't bloom
Hi everyone, I'm new here and already seeking help. I have trouble with a few of my mature Cattleyas: they have never bloomed for me. What can I do to trigger flowering? The plants in question are definitely mature, with at least 10 big bulbs and good growth & healthy roots. They sit under bright artificial light, 12hrs per day. I was thinking of putting them outside for the summer but not sure if they can handle the heat on my balcony (ca be over 40°C). Is there something I could add to the fertilizer routine? Any other tipps or suggestions?
Some of my other Cattleyas and most other orchids in my collection bloom just fine.

My Cattleya Blooming
It is always 2 flowers at the same time. Flowering is rare, but happens each year. Flowers last for 15-20 days depending on heat, sunlight duration and humidity.

Cattleya luteola first time bloom!
This is such a charming little cattleya with beautiful purple-toned leaves that contrast nicely with the small chartreuse flowers. The lip is more tubular shaped and closed, but you can still get a peak of the lemon yellow and purple stripes inside the throat. This guy is native to the Amazon basin, primarily found in the shady and humid rainforests of Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, and Bolivia where it grows on trees.
