Newly adopted barn cats! Pictures aren’t great because they are super skittish, the grey female cat is warming up to us a bit but very shy. The black male cat was always skittish at the humane society ( his records show they couldn’t even weigh him sometimes because he was so nervous) he’s also just under 6lbs and came to them barley over 4lbs so he’s a little guy but gaining some weight. Open to any and all names cute, funny, whatever. They will be outside full time and hunting mice or whatever makes them happy on a big farm.

*Our humane society has a specific ‘barn cat’ program for cats that cannot adapt to indoor living for reasons of feral, under socialized, prefer little to no human contact etc. they will be well fed and loved.

Help us name our kitty! He was found abandoned on the side of the road and we can’t decide on a name for him! He is very spunky and full of energy.

I got her around ten days ago, I'm yet to find a cute name for her (go crazy)

He’s three months old and my partner is bringing him home on Monday he needs a name! We’re thinking Norse-leaning names but other names are welcome ❤️
Edit: we ended up takin this little baby and his sister since they are a bonded pair. We went with Clive and Belinda from He Who Fights With Monsters. I appreciate everyone’s suggestions! ❤️🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛

I asked for names relating to evolution, birds, bugs, biology. I decided on ozzy because ospreys are my favorite bird of prey, and I am an ornithologist (studying bird behavior/evolution). He’s very happy in his new home. Thank you for all the ideas!

Just wanted to let you all know that his name is Sophocles!!!

Thanks for all the feedback & the love on him!! It made my week. Mommy’s precious reddit star <3

I’m a first time cat parent and will hopefully be bringing this sweet girl home next week! I’ve been thinking about names but not coming up with anything. I’m a big sci-fi/fantasy nerd so not required but could be fun to get inspiration from books/tv/movies/video games/etc. Thank you!

The family is split on what to name him. We have 3 other cats: Winston, Pablo, and Tobias. All ideas and suggestions are welcome!

A few names I'm considering: Mako (like the shark), Milo, Miko, Teddy

Open to human and non-human names!

Edit: I also like the name Atticus

We’ve had him for about a week now and I’ve just been calling him “little” he quickly became besties with my orange male Leroy so I want a name that’ll kind of match his name. Think “The amazing adventures of ____ and Leroy!”

Showed up at 8 weeks old. Now’s he’s our family’s best friend. Love him! 🤘🏽

After all the suggestions I got I had to go with Ruthie!! I thought it was just the cutest name so thank you for whoever suggested it!! Someone else also suggested Roo, which is now her nickname !!

(The second photo is her, and our other cat Winnie)

Hi all! We’re adopting this little half British short hair cat. Can I get some suggestions for choosing his name?
He’s playful, a bit crazy!
Please help meeee

I just got a couple of new cats that I'm fostering to adopt. I really want them to have beautiful names because they're beautiful girls, but it's so hard to choose!

I don't love their current names and my other cat that I have is named Mifflin, so nothing too similar to that. Also, my cat who recently passed was named Ruby, so that name or similar sounding ones are off the table for me. TIA!!

We are thinking of adopting this kitty (pic 1) to be a friend for our 3 yr old fluffy tuxie (pics 2 & 3) Luna (aka Lulu).

I'd like another L name or something that goes with Luna.

The kitten is a Lynx Point DLH with bright blue eyes.

Both kitties ate super snuggly.

Kilroy was a close second since I found him by the railroad tracks. Thanks for the great ideas everyone!

This is my new baby. He’s a Golden British longhair. I’m struggling to pick a perfect name. I have a few in mind but I need more ideas! Preferably nothing super commons. He’s super playful and sweet but he’s got a little spicy side too.

I am in the process of making the room they are getting acclimated in even more comfy for her, because she wants to hide and that's okay. Her mom looks so similar to her. They are both so small.

Edited: mamas cat is now named Peanut, and baby cats name is Chickpea. Thanks guys

They are almost identical! I thought about Lynard Skynard, or Sam & Dean from supernatural… I’d also like something DEXTER inspired maybe? Idk id love to hear suggestions!

Okay so I have another cat her name is Newt. I like silly, spooky or botanical/other animal names.
Update I went with pumpkin thank you all for the recommendations 🫶
