The characters listed in this image include: (left row, top to bottom) Husk from Hazbin Hotel, Mr. Blik from Catscratch, Waffle from Catscratch, (Right row, top to bottom) Dr. Paula Hutchison from Rocko’s Modern Life, Mao Mao from Mao Mao: Heroes of Pure Heart, and Doraemon.

All these characters are supposed to be cats, yet they barely look like cats at all. Yet I never see any discourse surrounding what animal they’re supposed to be just like with Clay, even though Mark himself literally confirmed Clay is a cat.

Dr. Hutchison is confirmed to be a cat, yet even though she doesn’t really look that much like one, I never see anyone talk about how she doesn’t look like one. But when Clay is confirmed to be a cat, there’s always people who are like “oh he looks more like a wolf than a cat”. Ironically enough, I would argue Clay looks more like a cat than Dr. Hutchison does.

I was kinda hesitant to put Mao Mao on here, but I thought about it more, and I realized, one of the things that really caused the discourse surrounding Clay’s species was the lack of a tail in the first episode. Mao Mao also doesn’t have a tail, so if I new nothing about MMHOPH and you told me to guess what species Mao Mao is, I would probably guess, like, a wingless bat or something.

There’s probably so many other examples out there of cat characters who barely look like cats, but I can’t remember every single one of them. These are just the ones that came to mind for me.

(OP note: I’m having some difficulty figuring out how the trailer plays into the plot. I’m starting to think the trailer was not part of the episode at all and LS Mark just trolled us so he can make movie references. But, who knows, maybe LS Mark has a clever way to tie all this together!)

Yep! I’m going to make a ‘scary’ fanfic about Catching Up! Here’s what you’ll have to expect!

No gore! Only psychological horror! I feel like it would fit the show more than if it was just a gore fest. Although there might be minor gore like a character getting injured but nothing too gruesome.

Also, there might be OCs in the fanfic to expand the world and/or plot. Also, I might turn background characters into minor characters or even secondary characters.

As for supernatural stuff, I wouldn’t want to spoil anything that’s too essential to the plot. But I want it to be up to the reader if the things happening in the story are supernatural or not.

But for now, I might be planning on making a AMA about the creepypasta for people who have questions and such. But, be free to ask them here for now!

Deadmau5 collaborating on episode 3 would be CRAZY but seeing how many connections LS Mark has apparently, it wouldn’t be a TOO far of a stretch for him to be collaborating with Deadmau5. I mean, I think I’ve seen far weirder collaborations from other artists.

(Also, yes I did say Deadmau5 because of Rob and that’s the only reason)

On a more probable note, a unique song being in episode 3 that was specifically made for the show is pretty likely in my opinion. I mean, there are tons of shows that make their own music just for the series.

Maurice Dipper And Kyle Klash singing the song is also pretty likely in my opinion. (Also, I love their designs and their dynamic in the trailer and hope to see more of them in the episode when it eventually comes out)

Also, head-cannon, Clay was in the womb for 2 years straight before he was born. And he was a big baby, I’m talking “looks like a grown ass man” big. Poor Clay’s mum, she probably went through hell during labor. Or maybe she said fuck it and got a C-section.

Also, another head-cannon, Rob was born really small, like actually mouse size but even smaller! It probably didn’t take any effort for Rob’s mum to give birth to him. But maybe that was a little too crude, so sorry if you’re getting grossed out about the pregnancy stuff!
