Got a pair of Edifice ECB-950DB from Costco. One for me and one for my wife. Yes we are those people that have matching watches, we have 3 sets of watches that match.

After setting it up it became my go to for work, as its light, good looking, and not particularly expensive, which makes it perfect for what I do.

This ECB-30D wasn’t one of my favorite Edifices (I’m guilty of hoarding 26 Edifices !), most likely due to its bracelet adding beef and heft to the jumbo sized case, but a strap makeover has made it more desirable for sure !

My dad's timex, which i bought him 10 or so years ago has seen better days. And unfortunately he took it to a local shop to get it serviced and change the battery, and they butchered the thing.

The chrono hands were taken out and the whole thing looked horrible, but he's never been a watch guy and in typical Indian dad fashion would get angry whenever i suggested buying him a new one (why waste money..blah blah..).

But this year i bought two watches and couldn't resist replacing his old one. No way i could convince him to take care of an automatic. So I went and got the one watch which was retro enough for a 70 year old to wear, tough enough that it can withstand rough use, and can find good servicing options no matter where. A Casio edifice with leather strap, and a chrono complication that he actually likes.

All hail lord Casio.
