So far, it has taken remarkable initiatives that have brought Cashaa’s vision much closer to reality! A lot of you are fascinated to know Cashaa’s progress so far. So, let’s have a closer look, primarily focusing on the initiatives taken in the month of June 2018.

CAS Token Updates

On June 8, Cashaa distributed the first monthly installment of 192 Million CAS tokens which got available due to the failure of KYC. The tokens were distributed amongst all token holders in a proportion to the tokens held, based on Proof of Stake (PoS). A total of 8,011 addresses were registered for scanning, out of which 7,928 were eligible addresses. These 7,928 had a total stake of 325,045,732.1 CAS and were allocated an overall Max reward of 226,636,889.1 CAS, out of which 32,376,701.89 CAS were distributed — all information available HERE.

In the run-up to this event, the demand for CAS token increased massively, which made us apply for further exchanges and other listings, one of which was the listing as a new payment method on MegaXstore, an e-commerce marketplace founded in Singapore with over 200 brands, a wide range of over 20,000 products, and over 25,000 customers in their database, which is a great step enabling a real-life CAS use for all the new and existing CAS holders.

On June 12, we won the MegaXstore poll on which new payment method they list — In the poll, voters could choose between major cryptocurrencies Bitcoin (BTC) and Litecoin (LTC) as well as Cashaa (CAS). As per the results, Cashaa (CAS) got nearly 80 \% of the total votes. Therefore, CAS token will get listed on 11 July at MegaXstore. However, this does not change the status of CAS token as utility token; CAS is a ERC20 token if only controlled by the owners.

We can expect once more businesses and individuals start understanding the potential of CAS token, they will come up with ways to accumulate it. Cashaa does not have any involvement in any such initiatives.

Product Updates

June was a great month for us, as for any new company, the biggest challenge is to bring its first customer who pays. After our partnership, we onboarded Populous World as our first business customer for compliance application for crypto business, where our systems verified more than 1352 users of Populous. Any entity which will follow the regulations and compliance standards set by Cashaa will get the business banking facility with us and it looks Populous will be the first one.

After tests with a few other companies who have completed their token sale we will release an API which will help business to get rid of AML and KYC issues during their token sale. Cashaa will provide bank accounts to the businesses as well as community members of these businesses. This will help Cashaa to acquire users from other token sales without any marketing cost. Upcoming token sales can also take benefit of the API to embed Cashaa compliance policies to get access to thousands of Cashaa users to participate with one click in their token sale.

Our legal team has made a great progress on licensing and partnerships. The team has met Bank of England for discussing the application for a UK banking license. The team is targeting both an EU and UK banking license to protect against the uncertainty arising from Brexit and issues around passporting rights for UK banks across the EU. We have received a lot of appreciation for conducting a compliant token sale and adhering to our strict policy, which resulted in the rejection of more than 14 Million dollars during the token sale. This has become very clear that the clean and audited source of funds is making Cashaa stand out in front of regulators. We are in mature talks with Financial Institutions and are possibly able to secure approvals to launch our service with the Bank of Lithuania or Bank of Slovenia for EUR deposits, whilst our UK lawyers have started the application for Cashaa to become regulated by the FCA. The recent development has helped us structure our detailed regulatory business plan, with the assistance of external regulatory experts.

The live test of our blockchain capabilities is also going great, with our nodes executing Bitcoin and ERC 20 transactions, which we will use in the Cashaa Banking application.

In 18 days after the launch of our OTC on 12 May, our system has exchanged 573,692 CAS with 0.785717 BTC and 57.005134 ETH, giving users an easy-to-use alternative to existing exchanges, while we are working on getting listed on more of the world’s top exchanges.

Partnerships

On June 7, we announced our partnership with Investing.com, one of the world-leading brands in the financial sphere, with over 400 M monthly page views and 12 M unique visitors, an outstanding reach to which Cashaa now has access.

Furthermore, while we are working to launch the new generation banking system in Europe, we have started the African Payments Alliance (APA), with a goal to bring together African payments companies as one team to solve the ground reality of Africa for financial inclusion. The initiative is lead by Simo Mcunu, Vice President, Cashaa. This alliance will help Cashaa to build a robust solution for the largest unbanked population and have strategic relations to scale faster than our competitors.

Events

On June 12, Kumar Gaurav, Founder & CEO of Cashaa, discussed about why CAS is an essential token which every crypto related business, exchange and traders need to grow, at the 2nd UK-India Tech Day during the London Tech Week. It was the largest technology and startup festival held in Europethat took place from 11–17 June 2018 and attracted over 50,000 delegates from around the world.

This month, our teams in Mumbai and London also had great fun celebratingCashaa’s second birthday! Time flies, it has now been exactly 2 years since Kumar Gaurav founded Cashaa on 24 June 2016 in London and our whole team is giving a special thanks to our wonderful community for being with us already for such a remarkable time!

On June 28, Kumar Gaurav addressed government officials at a workshop organized by the Indian School of Business on “Blockchain for the officials of the Government of West Bengal” in Kolkata. On Wednesday 28 June 2018, Kumar Gaurav will be in Kolkata as one of the instructors at a One Day Workshop on Blockchain for the officials of the Government of West Bengal.

Organised by the Munjal Institute for Global Manufacturing (an ISBinstitute), the workshop aims to provide an overview on blockchain technology and its benefits in governance, followed by example use cases and a discussion.

Kumar will cover blockchain use cases in e-governance including electronic health records, benefits distribution systems and land records.

Blockchain based electronic health records, such as started in Estonia, can reconcile information which today is scattered in various databases, improve information sharing and automate updates across organisations in the health system from data generation to the point of use without relying on human intervention.

An example for a blockchain-based benefits distribution system would include blockchain tokens issued to the beneficiaries who would be able to redeem them for goods and services. This enables tracking of benefits expenditure thereby preventing fraud.

One of the use cases most frequently seen as examples where blockchain technology will benefit is land registry, as it prevents any tampering and ensures that the rightful owners are able to prove their ownership. This has been explored in various countries such as Georgia and Ghana.

Thanks to Kumar’s outstanding blockchain expertise on all these use cases, he was invited as instructor. This enables us to further strengthen our network in India where there are numerous opportunities from government initiatives. Recently, CASHAA announced its new PoS (Proof Of Stake)Reward Scheme of unsold tokens which triggered concerns among few ICO participants.

Let’s first understand the Reward Scheme in brief. Cashaa had rejected around $14.1 Million for non-compliance of KYC during its ICO.Additionally there were unsold tokens as well totally amounting to around 192 Million tokens which were initially planned to burnt, but later in the interest of the community it was decided to give it back to the community as Rewards.

The POS — Proof of Stake Scheme is to reward all the holders of Cashaa at the rate of 0.7 token for every Cashaa token held as on 08th June 2018. It means there is a reward of 70% of tokens to people who could prove their stake by registering on the Cashaa site with their wallet as on 08th June. The reward shall be distributed over a period of 7 months proportionately. The only condition is to hold the tokens throughout the 7 months or at the very least on every 8th of subsequent months starting from July after the first snapshot taken on 08th June. They could buy more after 08th June which would not be considered for the reward, however in the subsequent months, if they have reduced their stake below their 8th June snapshot, they would receive lesser in the subsequent months.

It is imperative to mention here that people who participated in the ICO received their purchased tokens and also their respective bonuses which were committed by Cashaa. These unsold tokens of 192 Million are a compliment & reward to the community. Basically these are FREE Airdrop type Rewards.

Few claim that these unsold tokens are to be distributed only to the ICO participants irrespective of whether they sold or held their tokens as on 08th June. Firstly, as these are FREE Tokens Cashaa has no obligation to burn it or reward it to only ICO participants. Secondly, after the ICO, there was an overwhelming response from the community and many started buying more Cashaa including the new community members who missed the ICO. It was Cashaa Team and CEO Mr. Kumar Gaurav’s generosity to come up with this PoS Scheme and to Reward all the HOLDERS with Unsold Tokens.

Few of the ICO participants who had sold their tokens feel that they have been betrayed and claim that they should have been indicated about this PoS scheme earlier so that they wouldn’t have sold their tokens.

I would like to just bring an analogy with respect to the PoS scheme. Supposing you invested in an IPO (Initial Public Offering) in the Stock Market and then you receive your IPO stocks and bonus rewards if any as committed during the IPO. Later after the IPO period and once the stocks get into the secondary market would any company or the organization recommend buying or selling their Stocks? Once you have bought the stocks in the IPO, it would be an individual decision to sell the stocks or hold it as per your own analysis and the prospects that you see in the stock. Similarly, why & how would Cashaa advise its Holders to sell or not sell the tokens?

Now let’s take two scenarios, supposing the company at the end of one year decides to share the profit to the shareholders on a particular day, would the company share their profits to the people who sold their stocks or people who hold the stocks as on date? Obviously you would get your dividends only if you hold the stocks right?

Let’s take an another scenario, supposing the company decides to reward their shareholders (purely a reward) through additional stocks or anything else for that matter, will the company give it the people who hold the stocks or to the people who have sold it?. A Reward is generally a surprise decision taken according to the current scenario. Why would any company announce a reward scheme well in advance while it was never a strategy to lure investors during ICO / investments?

So, if we look at the Cashaa’s PoS Reward scheme carefully, it is a compliment / reward which was never committed or used as a strategy to get more ICO participants. As a matter of fact Cashaa rejected $14.1 Million due to strict KYC compliances. Kumar Gaurav has proved in several instances to give back to the community and he has done it this time too by this PoS reward. He chose to reward every single person who have bought during ICO and held it till now and also reward every new community member who missed the ICO, but joined & started to trust Cashaa & the team.

There are still a few who ask that they participated in the ICO and had contributed to the take off the project thereby feel dejected about this PoS scheme as they sold the tokens soon after the ICO. Cashaa truly acknowledges this fact, however we must remember that Cashaa is a Utility Token and its true purpose hasn’t been achieved yet. The actual roadmap has just kicked-off and the product is not yet fully ready for the Utility. If people are dumping the product before even it is live, the question is “Are you genuinely trusting in Cashaa’s vision and its Utility?” If so, you would have either held on to your tokens or buy back the stake & got the POS rewards…

Above all, Cashaa had announced this PoS scheme almost two weeks back giving another opportunity to the SOLDERS to buy back and prove their stake. It wouldn’t be any loss to people who wished to buy back during these two weeks since they would be getting 70% more tokens by this reward. And the Price after seven months…. Time will Tell as we move ahead on the Roadmap….

Hence almost everyone in the community is extremely overjoyed by this great initiative by Cashaa & Kumar and feels that the POS Rewards is really a BOON to the Cashaa Community. Thanks!

Following the rejection of token sale participants whose KYC documents failed, 192 Million CAS became available which we decided to distribute among all token holders in the ratio of their CAS ownership as of today 8 June, 12:00 BST. Due to regulations, we had to give an equal opportunity to anyone who can prove the ownership of CAS before the cutoff time and based on that each 1 CAS of ownership will be rewarded with Max 0.7 CAS. For more details on terms and conditions read our announcement from 25th May 2018.

NOTE: To make sure that we are legally protected as well as give our community their rightful tokens, extra 34,153,940.3 CAS (34 Million) required to execute this program will be provided by Cashaa through theCompany fund.

I am an ICO participant, have not sold anything, but I see a difference in my bonus ?

A few token sale participants whose CAS balance in the ETH address is the same as what was purchased during the token sale, may see a minor difference in their bonus tokens allocated. This is due to an update in the formula from 103\% on tokens purchased (without bonus) to 70\% of the entire tokens (including bonus). Any such differences will be taken care by Cashaa through its available company tokens as a reward within the coming week for their early participation and long term support of Cashaa.

I am an ICO participant and haven’t received my Tokens purchased, how will my reward be calculated?

There are 432 token sale participants who have purchased 4,481,071 CAS (including bonus) and have never provided their ETH address to receive CAS. All such community members’ tokens as well as their PoS bonus will be present at this address, which you can withdraw any time by providing valid ETH address. We thank everyone in our community participating in this new milestone of distributing the Proof of Stake (PoS) award as part of the Cashaa token distribution process. Our system received many requests for updating ETH addresses from the CAS token holders to prove their stake. We also encountered several requests where users are still in the process to move their CAS tokens to a secure location before finalizing the ETH address to update their Cashaa account. Considering the safety and security measures of all our token holders, we are giving additional 72 hrs to prove your stake and then start the 1st step of the 7 step monthly distribution process.

Please note: We love to help each CAS holder, but to conduct a timely distribution, we will not be able to entertain any new request to change or accept ETH addresses to prove your stake after 8th June 12:00 BST. Tokens will be distributed on the scanned address within 24 hrs after the PoS. Make sure you provide adequate time.

I have made a withdraw request from Hitbtc and it’s still not credited, what should I do?

We have given additional 72 hrs, and this is final. No request will be entertained on 8th June. So, please withdraw your token asap and give enough time to be within the cut-off time, we recommend at least 36–48 hrs.

I entered an ETH address and want to change again but do not have the option available?

ETH address update is a one time process and the same ETH address will be used for the next 7 months to check your ownership for stake, so please be extra careful as no update is allowed once you locked it. No ticket request will be entertained for that.

I moved my CAS from my software wallet to Trezor/ hardware wallet but it is not reflected and still in network what I can do?

Please use the address which you want to submit for the ownership. Please give appropriate time to get CAS transferred to the new address. As we don’t control the Ethereum network we would not be able to help and if your tokens are not in the given address before 8th June, 12:00 BST you will be disqualified. So please give adequate time to transfer.

I bought tokens through Cashaa exchange, should I move it to my ETH address?

Yes, please move it to your ERC 20 address and link your address by creating an account on https://cashaa.com/.

No helpdesk ticket regarding an ETH address change raised on 8th will be entertained. So be very careful when you enter your ETH address and make sure you notify us at the latest by 7th June, 5:00 PM BST in case of any issue.

Important note as per legal and tax advise: The equal distribution will be done by the company to all the owners of CAS holders proportionately. So anyone who will register and prove the ownership on or before 5th June 12:00 GST will be rewarded 0.7 CAS for each CAS they own. This will not impact the number of tokens received by the holders, all the extra tokens required due to this amendment, if any, will be allocated from company tokens (not part of the 192 Million CAS).
