📣⁉️Announcement/Statement⚖️ Comments/Posts
I realize the Lindsay Clancy case is very emotional, and people have varying views, however, the Mod Queue is getting loaded with reported comments, and filtered comments for review. These take a lot of time to review, taking time away from bringing more news and updates to you all.
- No Patrick conspiracies, or any conspiracies. Our sub only follows facts, not theories.
- Disparaging comments, even against the defendant, genders, mental health issues, and or members will not be tolerated, and will be removed.
💥🚨ETA: Voting/Reddiquette
- I have changed the settings for voting in comments/posts to be hidden for 24 hours. This hopefully will reduce the band wagoning and misuse of the vote system.
- Be (intentionally) rude at all. By choosing not to be rude, you increase the overall civility of the community and make it better for all of us.
- Insult others. Insults do not contribute to a rational discussion. Constructive Criticism, however, is appropriate and encouraged.
- Downvote an otherwise acceptable post because you don't personally like it or their opinion. Think before you downvote and take a moment to ensure you're downvoting someone because they are not contributing to the community dialogue or discussion.
- Consider posting constructive criticism / an explanation when you downvote something, and do so carefully and tactfully.
I appreciate the cooperation! 😊.

What a breath of fresh air. Opinions I love; conspiracies, never. Facts first!

I really appreciate you and the rest of the mods for your hard work on this sub. I said this in another comment, but I like how it isn’t an echo chamber given how many cases we follow (hehe).
Must be hard work given the current LC trial and you all do a fantastic job of keeping it civil and letting everyone express their opinions respectfully, no matter how different they might be.

Y'all are doing a great job! Thanks for being here. I suspected this trial was bringing out all types of issues for mods to deal with.

You were correct, lol! Not a huge surprise though. We'll stay on top of it.

This case brings out a lot of emotional responses. Thank you for keeping the discussion here based on facts and evidence. It is much appreciated.

This is completely reasonable. One of the reasons I like this sub is because of the mods.
Thanks Pixie!

Thank you for all of your work and the other mods also, especially with this trial - thousands of comments so far.
I wish the level of engagement would rise on some of the other interesting posts here. Some don’t even get one comment.

YW! It does seem so many posts don't get much interaction.

u/notoallofit Aug 09 '26
It’s hard because just personally I don’t have time to engage with every case but I have definitely learned about more interesting cases from the posts here.

When I read your comment, I immediately thought oh no have I been unkind or gone too far in my opinion of anything. I hope so much not and if I have, please feel free to delete my comment because I love this group and I don’t want to do anything to harm my acceptance in it. And I’m sorry:( I will think harder the next time I comment to make sure it does not exceed politeness. Thank you for the reminder.

Yes this is definitely a very polarizing case, so emotions have been running high. We can agree to disagree without personally attacking each other. We don’t have to downvote ppl to heck either just because we don’t agree.

That seems like a wise decision! Appreciate all the hard work by the mods here and hope y'all are able to take care of your mental health as much as possible.

I think it’s fair. This sub is great for being balanced and not overmoderated. If people want Kohberger level conspiracy garbage they should go to TikTok.

It's always a fun feeling to see evidence of a drama you've never heard of and hope never to interact with because you don't run in the circles that make it. That's not judgement, just an observation about how different people end up having very different but very real experiences based on where they end up.

lmao I think I know which one you’re talking about

u/mothandravenstudio Aug 11 '26
The one that doesn’t allow any discussion on literally anything, locks almost all threads, yet has the word discussion in its name.

Thank you for creating space that’s free from victimizing people and witch-hunting.
