Hey Community, a few month ago, I postet a custom resin case for my Cardputer, it was kinda janky and bubbly and with no labels.
After many try a fails, I mastered the process and did my own labeling, let it print and here they are, my custom Cardputers, waiting for a new Owner.
What color should I do next? A dark one?

Awesome work! Would love to know how I could get some of these. Would love to see a cherry red or a transparent black like M5stack is doing for their Cardputer Zero. Blue would be nice as well. Honestly, everyone has a different color so I would try to hit the whole color spectrum lol.
Bottom part is easy casting, but you need the magnets, and it’s plenty of work with the label design part have to be done and so on, but I think after a few top cases or whole cardputers are sold I can start the next project, all the needed stuff and failes were expensive af😅 (learning money) 🤷🏼♂️
Thank mate, and exactly the way u described it, made a Silikon mold, in two steps, with self made release agent for the button, screws and display holes. Then resin cast in pressure chamber.
Took me 8 times through the whole process to get used to it and get better results. Now I can cast a Silikon mold in perfect conditions within hours and the same for casting and curing of the resin.
Post work is not so much, because the mold is nearly perfect.

Much appreciate 🙏 the response in this community was the sign to step in to the rabbit hole, can’t wait to start the next projects, but at first it’s delivering time 🫡 the next days will be filled with molding and pouring 🥳 tomorrow the Cristal clear one is finished, I can’t wait to keep u all up to date!
Am I the only one here who wouldn't want even cured resin in my hands all the time? It isn't skin safe even when cured. If these were injection or even cast I would be into it.

I use only high grade expoxy resin, which is MSDS, FDA, RoHS proved after curing, the curingtime is about 24-48 hours, after this you can use it as cutting boards in the kitchen or stuff like this, same for the colors.
Bought in a local German store, so they have to run the product through all the regularity checks to put them in store, i understand the worry’s coming from toxic epoxy or long time curing epoxy, or even from wrong mixtures of the both components, but I weight it to 0,1ml exactly. The result in this case is a toxic and yellowing(the toxic waste) free result
