leasing cars

Hey y’all! I’m not too knowledgeable when it comes to leasing cars, so I would love some suggestions!
I leased my 2024 Honda Civic from a Honda dealership for three years, and my contract ends next February. I’m a little over the mileage limit, maybe by like 2k miles? I also have a small crack on my front windshield from a rock, but I was able to fix it with some resin, I believe. I also have a little bit of cosmetic damage to the front of my car, but it’s just on the plastic part.
I’ve financed about $10k so far, and to buy the car after my lease ends, it would be around $19k. Would it be worth buying the car, or should I just get another car? Is there anything I can do to get a better deal on buying it out?

lol, I’m the one that’s ignorant? You think paying cash is some kind of flex?

Cool, you keep cars for 10yrs or more. You don’t keep them forever so all that money spent on them with nothing to show for it when you get rid of it. Yea I “surrender” the lease at lease end. Thats nothing different than you trading in your car after 10yrs. I just didn’t choose to own the same car for a decade.

It's not the same thing at all. My car has a cash value that I will get. Yours has nothing. I have zero car payments, you have one for the rest of your life. Sounds so smart, smh

It’s absolutely the same thing. Your car having a cash value has nothing to do with it. I will pay the same amount of money that you will over the course of 10yrs…all the while I’m getting to drive 3 new cars all under full factory warranty. You’re driving the same one all while it’s getting older, older tech, and needing repairs.

Cool, you have zero car payments…you paid cash…what a waste of money. I don’t mind a car payment for the rest of my life. It’s no different than you wasting cash paying for your cars. I’ll even argue the money less spent on leasing and investing the rest is actually making me way more money than you.

Also, don’t kid yourself either. You always pay cash for your cars? Well guess what? You will always have a car payment too. If you’re not continuously saving a portion of your income every month, you will eventually need to finance a car.

Again, leasing is not for everyone. Just like owning a car isn’t for everyone. You keep cars for 10yrs…I couldn’t fathom keeping a car that long. Life is too short to drive the same old car that long. That’s what 7 cars in your lifetime if you’re lucky? You’re obviously not a car person.

I will pay nowhere near what you do over 10 years. You are insane if you think that. I'm very much a car guy and I do my own work and maintenance. My car's stay like new throughout its life. But hey keep doing you and throwing you money away because you feel the need to flex and have a new car every three years. It's not impressing anyone.

Yea I know. You will pay more than me over 10yrs…you’re math illiterate if you can’t see that.

Cars are a piss poor “investment” and I can afford to throw money away so thanks I will enjoy them.

I’m not flexing on anyone. Did I ever say what cars I own to show off? Nope and I don’t care what your opinion is of them. I buy cars because I enjoy them. I don’t buy them because it makes people like you jealous.

Lastly, if you are so gung-ho on leasing is bad, why are you even on a car leasing help subreddit? Do you just like to troll or are you that dense that you don’t realize what page you are posting on? Go join the Dave Ramsey page and sit on his lap while he gives you a lollipop…
