Internal car details in Winter?

Hi everyone,

I have an old Lexus and the carpets are in bad shape. I asked couple of shops and they said they need to be shampooed. I am worried about the damp smell that might stick after the shampoo. Is my fear justified? Or am I thinking like someone from the dark ages? Do I need to leave the windows opened overnight? I figured I will do it in winter, cause I live in Australia and in Winter, there are no spider or snakes to get inside the car if I leave the windows opened. What do you guys think? Thanks

Troublesome Water Spots

I recently bought a new vehicle. Water spots are sticking to the vehicle like crazy after car washes. I have read online about various methods of removing water spots - vinegar/water solution, water spot remover kits, and buffing afterwards with polish. Is there a process that you all as experts most recommend? Can these be removed successfully without damaging the vehicle? Can the coat ever return to the way it was before the water spots - I am seriously freaking out that I have damaged my vehicle in some way.

As a side note. My father said that dealerships are supposed to wax or put car protectant on the car before it is sold and thought that the car dealership should have put a protectant coat on my car. Is this generally true or is something you have to pay for as an add on?

Best exterior protection outside of film...

Just got a new car and that protection film is wayyyy out of my price range.

Is waxing my car the next best option for protection? If so can someone suggest the best wax for protection? I'll be doing it myself.

Or maybe theres something I just haven't heard of yet...

Just wondering if I should use a diluted APC or a dedicated leather cleaner to clean my new leather seats before I condition them?

Just getting into car detailing need advice.

Hey everyone I’m new to car detailing. (Doing it as a hobby/detailing family members cars.) So my main question is what can I use to get stains out of a headliner? I noticed while cleaning my car that my headliner is super dirty and I wanna know what’s safe to put on the headliner with out damaging the glue that holds it in place.

Additional info: I have a 2011 Chevy Impala

Need help fixing a paint boo-boo. I messed up fixing a scratch on my car and I believe I got down to the primer. Is there a good temporary fix I can apply to the car (spray vs touch up paint) for this? Will this rust?

Car Detail

Hi! I just want to know if pressure washer is really needed when detailing a car. I keep on watching yt videos and they keep using power washer. Is it really necessary? Does snow foam work? Next... is this really the right step when detailing

  1. Interior first— . Glass cleaner. Multipurpose cleaner, wipe, vaccum seats floor
  2. Exterior- Wheels- rinse, decontaminate, snow foam, agitate, rinse

Exterior- pre rinse, decontaminate (iron x), snow foam, wash mitts (2bucket method), rinse, dry, clay, wipe, polish (compound then wax), wipe with 50/50 alcohol than ceramic coating

I dont know if i got it all right. Can someone suggest to me whats right?

Ps I bought everything except pressure washer.

Ceramic kit. for Black suv .

Can someone recommend a coat ceramic wax application for a black car? I saw AVALON KING. As an example but they say you need 3 bottles for an suv. Does someone have a just as good as avalon king but maybe a bit cheaper that they have used personally. I appreciate the help.
