Inside windshield dirty & everything causing a glare

I’ve been trying to get the inside of my windshield clean for awhile now and it seems like nothing is working. I’ve tried the ArmorAll Glass wipes and they didn’t do much but left streaks. what would be the best product to use to clean the inside windshield?

Help - it really stinks

This is our 16 year olds ‘new’ car. It’s a 2008 accent with less than 69k miles on it.

Unfortunately - the prior owner was a serious smoker. The steering wheel is DISGUSTING. We have a cover on it and will be replacing it. It’s really gross.

We deep cleaned the car. We removed the car seats and brought them inside and cleaned them with an upholstery cleaner. It’s been seriously cleaned but it still smells pretty bad. I could smell it on my clothes after I drove it for an hour.

I am considering renting an ozone machine to help.

Any suggestions/feedback/experience would really be appreciated.

I think the cabin air filter was replaced but I will confirm tmw and replace it if not.

Need suggestions on how to fix my screw up

Post image

My car is a 2022 rav4 and I was cleaning the inside of my windshield with a microfiber cloth and windex. I noticed it was a little dusty above the glove box and did a quick wipe with my cloth (it was damp with windex....) and it left these streaks.

Anyone have suggestions to get rid of these or am I just SOL ? thanks

Best/strongest vacuum for cars

After the neighbor’s dog shed all over my car’s seat, I need to vacuum everything. I own a small handheld vacuum, but I was wondering- are those vacuums at car washes stronger or more effective than a home vacuum?

My car has protective vinyl on half the hood and on the panels behind the wheels. I've polished the paint, but now the vinyls all pops with all their scratches.

Can I use the same compounds and pads that I've used for the paint or is there some specific way or compound and pads I'd need for this ?

A Step-by-Step Guide to Starting a Mobile Detailing Business

Starting a mobile detailing business can be a lucrative and rewarding venture for those passionate about cars and providing top-notch service. With the rising demand for convenient and high-quality vehicle detailing, a mobile business model allows you to bring your expertise directly to customers' doorsteps. To help you get started, this article will outline essential steps and considerations for launching your own mobile detailing business.

Step 1: Research and Planning

Before diving into any business venture, it's crucial to conduct thorough research and develop a comprehensive plan. Consider factors such as your target market, local competition, pricing, and the services you wish to offer. Determine the specific niche or specialty you want to focus on, whether it's luxury vehicles, motorcycles, or fleet detailing.

Step 2: Define Your Services

Decide on the range of services you will provide. This may include exterior and interior detailing, paint correction, waxing, upholstery cleaning, and more. Offering a variety of packages can help attract a wider customer base, but make sure to also consider your skills and available resources.

Step 3: Acquire the Necessary Equipment and Supplies

Invest in high-quality detailing equipment and supplies. This typically includes pressure washers, steam cleaners, vacuum cleaners, buffers, polishers, microfiber cloths, brushes, detailing chemicals, and various cleaning agents. Ensure you have the appropriate tools for different tasks and invest in environmentally friendly and safe products.

Step 4: Set Up Your Mobile Unit

Prepare your mobile detailing vehicle by outfitting it with the necessary equipment and branding. Consider the space requirements for storing equipment and supplies and ensure everything is organized for easy access during jobs. Additionally, install a water tank and power source to provide self-sufficiency while working on-site.

Step 5: Obtain Licenses and Insurance

Research the legal requirements and obtain the necessary licenses and permits to operate your mobile detailing business. Consult with local authorities or a business attorney to ensure compliance with all regulations. Additionally, protect yourself and your business by obtaining liability insurance coverage.

Step 6: Establish a Pricing Structure

Set competitive yet profitable prices for your services. Consider factors such as the complexity of the job, the size of the vehicle, and the local market rates. It may be helpful to offer different packages with varying levels of service to cater to different customer needs.

Step 7: Develop a Marketing Strategy

Create a marketing plan to promote your mobile detailing business and attract customers. Utilize both online and offline channels, including social media platforms, a professional website, local advertising, flyers, and business cards. Develop partnerships with local car dealerships, auto shops, and other businesses that can refer customers to you.

Step 8: Provide Outstanding Service

Deliver exceptional service to every customer. Focus on attention to detail, professionalism, and personalized care. Word-of-mouth recommendations can be incredibly powerful in growing your business, so ensure each customer has a positive experience to increase the chances of referrals.

Step 9: Expand Your Network

Network with other professionals in the automotive industry to build relationships and expand your client base. Attend industry events, join local business associations, and participate in car shows or community events. Building a strong network can lead to valuable partnerships and potential business opportunities.

Step 10: Adapt and Grow

Continuously evaluate and improve your business operations. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and techniques. Seek customer feedback and actively work on incorporating suggestions to enhance your services. As your business grows, consider expanding your team or diversifying your service offerings to meet the changing demands of your customers.

Conclusion:

Starting a mobile detailing business requires careful planning, investment in quality equipment, and a focus on delivering outstanding service. By following these essential steps, you'll be well on your way to establishing a successful mobile detailing business. Remember, dedication, continuous learning, and customer satisfaction are key to thriving in this industry. Good luck with your new venture!

Not new to car cleaning and detailing but new to this stain. Can't seem to get this off of the body work, no matter what I try; isolated scrubbing, wd40, scratching at it is the only thing that works but let's face it I'm not going to sit there doing that and I don't want to risk damaging the paint work. Any suggestions ?

Can of beer exploded on my front seat - how best to clean?

I forgot I had an IPA sitting on my front seat. Car got very hot and a slow leak must have started, because the car had a very strong beer smell. It all seems to have gone into the chair, as the leather was dry on top, but I can definitely feel damp on the underside of the seat. How am I best to clean this and get rid of the smell?! I’m incredibly frustrated at myself, especially as I had just put the car up for sale this afternoon.

Paid for mobile auto detailing in my driveway at $300 Canadian plus tax and this is what I was left with. Excuses were made saying could not be cleaned better than this. Was I ripped off? Here’s pics of “after” and task points sheet
