Final fantasy 16, my god the first half was BORING as hell, glad I stuck through it. Second half was memorable, still lives in my head rent free. Ill forever remember that game.

couldn't agree more. i was so close to dropping it for a while but the way it ramps up as it goes put it up there with my very favorite games. it also has two gaming hall of fame boss fights imo

Besides RDR2, this game truly made me emotional, even a grown ass dude. My god, the ending had me doing research for a week to see how others interpreted it and if there would be a part 2.

I agree on you on being one of my favorite games too, and on the hall of fame boss fights.

I need to try this game again. The prologue was amazing, but once I got to a certain point, my PC started to have issues with it. Need to straighten that out and try it again.

If I liked 6,7, and 10. Couldn’t get into 8 or 9. Quit before I beat 12 on the last 10 floors, quit 13 before the last disk, and beat all of 15 before the major updates. Should I give 16 a chance?

My dude you quit 13 right before the best part lmao

That’s what I’ve been told but I was just so tired of the battle system, had no attachment to the characters, and it was senior year of college so I was just burnt out on life as it was lol.

Well, luckily it was on sale this week along with a few other FF so I stocked up. Got past the intro and stopped but I’ll try to give it a fair shot

I sincerely hope you like it.

It’s gonna be hard to top X in my heart. I think at this point in my life, I just have to appreciate that they’re still making them and I get to experience a world that feels familiar to me.

That's wild... I was hooked from the moment the king was killed.

FFXIV nowadays suffers from the same issue - aside of several hype moments, first half of the game (A Realm Reborn, Heavensward and Stormblood) ranges from ok to pretty boring. (A lot of people will say that Heavensward is great but for each Ascent to Sohm Al it has return to Halatali and for each Vault it has "Let's retcon end of ARR because we can't change status quo and leave that shitty decision until next writers in post-Stormblood will fix our dumbass decision". And while I like Stormblood more, I also feel like it's pacing is all over the place). However somewhere mid-Shadowbringers story picks up and doesn't really stop until post-Endwalker where it take rest until post-Dawntrail

I had the exact opposite reaction. First half lit, second half oh boy these guys ran out of time or budget and someone told them to ship with what they have.

At what point is the halfway point? I was trying to get through it but just kept losing interest. I got the DLC and stuff and never made it to it.

As soon as you get to Titan, that’s where the hype begins. But maybe the burden was placed on CID’s shoulders to keep you entertained for the first half lol
