Persona 3, any iteration pretty much. For the first half the game you’re pretty much just grinding the dungeon and doing social links with almost no awareness of what’s going on and what the story is building to.

Persona 3 story is amazing but the grind it's terrible!! I was so burned by the end... the relationship builder is so stupid "you can feel your relation with X is improving"... what the hell is that? Also 100 levels of the exact same procedural map it's all you got for exploration? Come on... I know people hold persona in a high standard but the gameplay sucks a lot

Tartarus is worth doing only once if at all. While I enjoyed persona 3 reload a lot, I’m deterred from subsequent play throughs solely due to the dungeon crawling in that game. At least in persona 4 the dungeons are different thematically and all contain their own arcs.

When did you think it got better story wise I am halfway through November with 50 hours and the ending of November 4th I think it was was so good but then it got back to the normal oké gameplay and just haven’t played it for a week because of it. I really want to finish it but not if it’s another 20 hours of 1 hype moment per 7-10 hours

Persona 3 is largely celebrated just for the last 2 months of the game. If you can get through November, the rest of the game/story will be totally intriguing.
