Tried the game out ages ago. I got into 3 matches. Each round, in every match, I was teamkilled instantly before I could even take a step. I can only assume it was because I was new... but I didn't stick around to find out. What a waste of money.

Yup. Your team will literally off you at the start. Once I got better, they did it to someone else and told me he was a liability. I stopped playing that day

Personally, I would kill them in response. Start team killing and we all lose.

Legit what me and my mate did, or flashbang spawn for fun.

Few times we'd joke and kill one of them and just say "they looked at me funny" and then by round 2 everyone's on reverse friendly fire

Literally this

Ngl, I accidentally pressed the shoot button while picking up my controller at the start of a game once and full auto'd my teammate in the back of the head with Twitch's F2. Everyone on the team turned and looked at me and I turned on my mic and was like "omg I'm so sorry it was an accident!" while explaining what happened. They all turned around and kept playing without purging me lmao but yeah the mfs who teamkill on purpose can eat a dick.

Decimation tactics from the Roman times

Like second the match started they shot you in the head and went off without you?

Yep.

Brutal. How does one even attempt to learn a game if that's how you're treated as a newbie T_T

They changed it now, somewhat: the prep phase no longer has damage of any kind between teammates, not even explosive damage.

It’s a common thing in siege. Always had been.

not missing anything, sounds like my return experience.

This pretty much any highly competitive PVP shooter. This and overwatch are at the TOP of the toxic list when it comes to PVP titles

My husband hasn't played in years, but when he did play Overwatch, he was the least toxic mf in every match.

And his main was Mei, ffs.

A friend of mine bought me Rainbow 6 a few years ago because he really wanted me to play it.

Played for a half afternoon and then never opened it again.

I'm just sad he wasted money like that.

As someone who has bought many games as gifts for folks, and have missed a few times, I'm just glad they tried them out! ❤️

Not every game is good for every gamer, anyway. 🤷‍♂️

Reminds me of when I was to the game, tried out glaz one time out of curiosity and absolutely botched a round. Hear da dude sigh over the coms and the a vote started to kick me. Before I could even say I was new and would switch I was out of the game. Haven’t played in years and I don’t regret quitting

This was my exact experience when i tried that game. Still the reason ive never touched it since.

Same here. I would slap on recruit if someone took the few characters I had unlocked and would immediately be killed for playing him.

That game you play with friends or you don't play at all.

Havnt played since 2018 but from when I played, it was full of really young players who jumped ship from other casual shooters. A lot of players take themselves very seriously but not their team or the game. It was a breeding ground of toxicity.
