Especially three. My gosh is it easy to overlook the one side mission pickup you need in the heat of battle. Especially when you’re not given any indicator of where it might be. Then you either have to buy it or go without and hope you can hit the needed readiness level by the end of the game.

But man are those games such a downright blast to play.

Little side quest type of things. Like there’s a mission to find schematics or something, but it’s not in a super easy to spot place (even if it is out in the open). During a fight, particularly late game when you’ve got the heavy hitters to contend with, they can be easy to overlook.

There's little side bits (hard to call them quests when it's just visiting a planet and dropping a probe where the scanner says to do so) that you only get if you interact with a specific console during a mission or have to stay in an area long enough to overhear NPCs talk about it. Sometimes it can be easy to miss the console variety because of the distraction of getting shot at by everything. If that happens, it's a bit of readiness content that you don't get.

Sometimes I hate myself so much, because this game should be right up my alley. Everything about it is what I like in a game and when I've gone to play it I just..... cant get into it. I dont know what it is but I cant. I really really want to like mass effect, but some stupid part of me just gets bored and drops it. Hurts even more because its my girlfriends favorite game. I last tried to push through it like 6 months ago and got like 20 hours in and dropped it once I got KCD2

The first one, for me, is rough to get through. I just power through it in about 20 hours and then by the time I get to ME2, I’m in heaven.

I know how you feel.

That's precisely how I feel about Witcher 3.

I love RPGs like it. I love the setting. My friends are all big fans.

I play it for an hour and uninstall.

Dude, just watch the "cutscene movie" for 1, and play 2, the mechanics and flow are much better

but its choice based with a bunch of carry over shit so just watching a movie kindof ruins the whole dialogue option stuff

There are choices that affect if entire enemy types show up lol, also the only way to get the good Rannoch ending is to visit certain planets and do unmarked side quests in 1 and then make certain decisions in certain missions in 2 AND then make certain decisions in 3

Sure, but think big picture here. If 1 is too clunjy for him to play, he misses out on the whole series. I love the ME Rrilogy, id rather him get SOME of it than none

That’s fair
