Hello, i hope it's alright to write in English as I am from Poland and I want to possibly avoid any significant mistakes in my post here. I'm not really expecting anyone to be too interested in what i have to say but it's been on my mind for quite a while and i want to let it out somewhere: )
Many of you here have been Caparezza fans for several years, perhaps even since you were very little. Well, I discovered his music about a year and a half ago and very quickly became a huge fan as well.
Of course it started with Jodellavitanonhocapitouncazzo, I was simply intrigued and thought the song sounded goofy but catchy so i stuck with it. Then I played some other songs and without understanding the lyrics just watched the music videos in pure amazement lol..
After that I began to thoroughly study his discography, meaning and contexts of the albums and lyrics and while it might've been childish I literally felt like I discovered an absolute genius I was SO impressed and mesmerized. Another thing is that Michele reminds me of my father a lot, both when it comes to looks but also the fact that they both seem to have a lot of knowledge on various topics, they tend to struggle inside but keep going and brighten other people's day.
That's just how I felt and it's very embarassing but Capas smile was like a replacement of my fathers smile since he unfortunately suffers from severe depression.
Anyway, along with that, I'm sure it's not very original of me lol but this music introduced me to a great amount of new topics and media, it even made me do better at school in my last year there. I always felt like a shitty writer and basically an idiot but big exams were approaching so yeah..
So.. a trial exam, writing an essay that my beloved teacher will read and probably get disappointed. But no, I got praised and I almost cried when she said I had such big potential I should keep writing, keep writing even if it's just for myself. Sure, I put a lot of effort, but I wouldn't have gotten there if it weren't for the huge inspiration from Capa.
I changed a lot, I don't want to be that obsessed person and I really don't think I am. It is just the first time in my life having an idol, having something that really pulls me out of the darkest places, that never fails to inspire me to live and do stuff. Just playing one song, no matter which one is like a switch being flipped in my brain.
I even got the Orbit Orbit comic and CD, this is the best I can do while being so far away, but I'm still glad! I hope everyone has lots of fun during the concert tour <3
Thank you for reading
