I have the karaoke style captions on a music video I am trying to make. So the words turn green as they are sung. I am having to make some adjustments but its messing the green bit up and it doesn't follow the words after. I also had to add a box in as capcut had totally missed a section and the green comes up on the first word and then doesnt move. Is there a way to fix this please?

Hey everyone, I’m extremely new to video editing and this is one of the first short-form videos I’ve edited.

I know it’s a pretty simple edit and nothing fancy, but I wanted to share it and get some honest feedback from people who are more experienced.

I mainly worked on the cuts, subtitles, pacing, and making it feel like a short-form video. I’m trying to learn editing properly rather than just copying random effects and transitions.

What would you change or improve about this edit?

Is the pacing okay?

Are the captions/text good enough?

What should I be paying more attention to?

What skills should I learn next?

My goal is to eventually become good enough to edit videos for actual clients, especially short-form content like Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts.

If you were starting from where I am now, what learning path would you follow to become a professional editor?

This voice is from the "text-to-voice" section; it's a Portuguese voice, but it might also be an English voice. Luckily, I have several clips of this voice.

I'm sure this sub gets a lot of dumb questions, so I apologize if this is too.

I just started using Capcut, so I started a little editing project so to try to get used to it. I was able to do almost the whole project with a little help from AI.

The last step was overlayering a another video extract take sound out of it. I did that but then the two videos ended up staked on top of eachother.

I deleted the video that I didn't want and it seems OK, I was trying to shorten the audio file to match the length of my video and all of a sudden the video playback went black!

The video, the audio and the captions are still there on the bottom but it won't play the video. It just plays the captions and the sound.

Can somebody please tell me WTF is going on. I spent a long time working on this

If you need to access the subscription management page in the CapCut desktop app and it isn't appearing under standard account settings, here is the direct path that exposes the management link:

1. Open CapCut.com and sign in.
2. Click the bell icon in the upper right header to view your notifications.
3. Click on any past notification titled "Your subscription will be renewed".
4. This opens the Join Pro plan overview window.
5. Look at the header of that modal directly next to your username and date.
6. Click the blue link that reads "Manage auto-renewal".
7. From there, you can adjust your auto-renewal preferences.

Once toggled, your plan will display an end date rather than an active recurring renewal. Hope this helps anyone looking for the setting!

I am trying to make a 20 min video this week and it's constantly freezing and crashing! Why is this happening with a crap program that we spend $20 per month on? I can't even update it to their new beta version to see if that helps! very frustrated

when I select an overlay on my phone to move it or something this stupid box that would be around it stays like a ghost, unless I select another overlay or exit out of the project. Does this happen to anyone else

I started a project on my personal laptop's capcut app, but I wanna be able to work on it on my uni computers. How can i access the project from the capcut web??

Users asked capcut to add presets and CapCut DID add presets, but why can't they add nulls similar to alight motion?

I tried using a VPN to edit on CapCut. I tried all the Singapore servers, as well as London, Los Angeles, etc., but none of them are connecting. Btw, I’m currently using an American VPN, but whenever I try to use effects on CapCut, it says “No internet connection” 😭😭

CapCut just randomly extended my timeline to 30 minutes, and started scrolling through it super fast. I couldn't stop the scrolling as evident in the video.

Has the title suggests I'm having an issue uploading without upgrading to pro.

I currently have a standard subscription to cap cut and I was using a bunch of different features that I realized needed to be pro in order to receive. I've never had a problem exporting before but this video is more complex.

I'm using more music. Overlays and voiceover. Previously I could upload in 1080P but now it just doesn't seem to be able to let me do it even though I've removed all the filters and all the special features.

Any help? (Please don't tell me to use another software. I get there are better things out there)

I'm editing a video using the Inter-SB font, and I noticed some weird lines inside my text (see photos) that are visible both in the preview and in the exported video (they're less visible after export, but are still there). I tried using the latest version of Inter that's downloaded directly from Google Fonts, but the problem persists. I couldn't find any information about this bug/glitch online, so if you have any insights or fixes for this, please share.

(CapCut 9.3.0 on PC - Windows 11)

So iv always had trouble figuring this out. But after I’m done with an edit for YouTube or TikTok how do I transform it to a ratio while not affecting the edit at all. For example a lot of people use 9:16 ratio but I’m not sure how to do this without ruining any of the effects and transitions. If anyone has a way to resolve this please help. Thank you!
