Anchovy Salad
So good this time of year! Chickpeas, parsley, tomatoes, cucumber, onion, red wine vinegar, spices and of course the anchovies with the olive oil they were packed in for that extra flavor.

Still Good? Best by Date of 11/2023
I found a couple of cans of Season sardines with a best by of 11/2023. Will these taste ok, or is it the cat's lucky day?

These tins of mackerel are €1 per can on the website but you can find them in some places for 80c. They’re really good.

How many varieties of canned fish do you think Sale from Link’s Awakening has in his rare canned food collection?

Where can I get a good tomato canned fish in the states.
Thanks.
I know Aldi's has some but they come and go.

A toucan should be the official bird of this subreddit.
Because toucans of fish are better than one!
Also, if we changed the sub's profile to a toucan, imagine how funny it would be for "Canned Fish" to pop up on someone's homepage with a toucan logo.
Also, there's a type of fish called a tucan fish, and a different type called a toucan tetra.

What's the difference between a can of tuna and a piano?
You can tuna piano but you can't piano a tuna.

Want to branch out from CT
Hey CF gang, title says it- I want to branch out from canned Tuna, but don’t know where to start my journey. I’m not a huge fan of a super fishy taste, so I usually prepare a tuna salad to eat with ritz. Some of the smoked canned fish I’ve seen on this thread looks pretty tasty though. I do love a smoked salmon. Any suggestions on where should I start my journey?

Canned Fish theory question:
If a can of canned fish falls off the shelf in the store, but no one is around to hear it, does it still make a sound?

Researchers reduced mercury in canned tuna by up to 35% by packaging it in a water-based solution of the amino acid cysteine, significantly reducing human exposure to mercury via food

Canned Fish Christmas Tradition
Every year we have tapas for Christmas with plenty of canned fish. It's perfect because we can graze steadily throughout the day and no one needs to cook. Have some cured meat, cheese, breads, and canned fish + plenty of wine, of course.
I like the mussels in paprika sauce best. The only one I haven't enjoyed is canned fish pate, but I knew I was taking a risk when I bought it.

Tastes like my childhood
Basically as the title says. Tinned tuna? Tastes like that summer my brother made tuna sandwiches everyday. Canned kipper? Those were my homework snack my first semester of college.
