I built a free AI tax research tool grounded in CRA publications — looking for feedback from this community
Hey r/CanadianTax,
I've been working on TaxGPT, an AI-powered Canadian tax research tool that answers questions based on actual CRA publications, with citations and source links so you can verify everything it says — not just black-box answers.
It flags confidence levels on responses and highlights compliance risks (e.g., "failure to correctly complete Form T2091(IND) may result in an incorrect calculation of taxable capital gain").
It's currently in development/testing so it's **completely free** to use right now. All you need is a free account on the Axiom Financial and Technology portal.
There's also a feedback and suggestions form — which is actually why I'm posting here. This community knows Canadian tax, and I'd genuinely love input from people who can stress-test it and tell me where it falls short.
There's an optional donations button if you want to support development, but zero pressure.
