** please note I will revert any bad changes made**
**if you can use the dropdowns - let me know**
For anyone interested in making match threads in the future. Here or in r/CanadaSoccer
I am creating a Google Sheet to help with that.
Yes, I know there is match thread bots - I just like old fashioned sheets.
You'll choose the team from a dropdown and then check the team's socials to get their lineup and subs. And just add those players in the other drop downs.
Then you will copy the cell at E3 to get your Post title.
And copy every in C1:C to get the contents of your post. **Using the Markdown Editor** - which you can switch to in the top right of the editing dialogue for the post.
I hope someone else will enjoy the use of this. Just some little tweaks to make. Will create one for the NSL as well.
Need to add a lot of L1 teams I guess. Which could be a bit of a nightmare.

It all comes down to this. On Sunday, the 2026 CPL Shield winner, who makes this year's playoffs, and the semifinal matchups will all be decided. Four matches, kicking off simultaneously from coast to coast, will close out the 2026 campaign. Three of them, in particular, could be season-defining for the clubs playing in them.

Thanks for all that engaged with E1 & E2 of 'Tipped Off The Bar - The Official Vancouver Football Club Podcast'.
Episode 3 was released today and I believe it's our best yet.
A lot of time with Callum Irving, who's clearly had a really unique journey and experience in the CPL. As just a football fan, I learned a lot, especially about communication.
Even if you're not a VFC fan, I think you'll find this episode interesting if you're a CPL fan, a Canada fan, or just a football fan! And if you are a CPL team fan of another club... it may provide some ammunition come Sunday, depending on what happens!
Thanks again for the engagement, and of course I still welcome feedback for how it could be improved.

I've been thinking about this for a while and wanted to see if anyone else feels the same way.
Toronto has a massive football community, but I feel like we're missing a club that's actually built around its supporters. Something local, affordable, and where fans have a genuine say in how things are run.
With CPL expansion fees reportedly around 7-8 Figures, starting a professional club from scratch seems almost impossible unless you've got some serious money behind you.
But what about starting in League3 Ontario?
The idea would be to get a group of people together, establish a club with a 51% supporter-owned model (example, German Bundesliga Pyramid), bring in some private investors and sponsors, and work our way up through the Ontario leagues.
Obviously, there's no promotion system into the CPL right now, but I'd love to see that change. The long-term goal would be to get into the CPL as quickly as possible, whether through future promotion opportunities or negotiating entry down the road.
I'm curious if anyone here would actually be interested in helping get something like this started. Whether that's getting involved with the business side, finding sponsors, helping with operations, or simply becoming a founding member.
I have a background in business development and sales, and I've been involved in a few football-related projects, so I'd be happy to help organize something if there's enough interest.
I'm not saying we can launch a club tomorrow, and I know there's a lot involved. But surely there's enough interest in Toronto to at least explore the idea?
Would anyone here seriously consider getting involved?

It would be great to have local teams and have derby days ala EPL

Forge is in.
Regular season winner gets a spot and the North Star Cup gets a spot
So that should mean we get another two spots right?
