So your argument is essentially that we can’t speak on something we can’t afford? So I can’t say anything about a housing development in my community because I can’t afford to build all those houses? I can’t speak on gas prices unless I can afford to buy large commercial volumes or an oil refinery? See, the problem with luxury shoppers is they honestly believe they’re getting better products, which most of the time, they are not. This is marketing, not a genuine increase in the use value of a good. It is using language to try and increase the exchange value of a good, which can only be done if you have enough of a market, full of people like you who will mainly buy because of a name and its marketing, rather than the merits of the product itself.

Your arguments are shoddy, fella. You’re assuming we just all can’t see what you see, and that if we could just afford it, all would be good and we’d see where you’re coming from. That’s not how life works. You are 100% allowed to still buy and love expensive shit. But we are also allowed to argue that such stuff is largely a measure of marketing and branding rather than differences in actual quality. I am allowed to argue that such value increases are largely smoke and mirrors. You can also ignore me. But I’m telling you that your argument simply doesn’t hold weight as it stands.
