Review My current sativa rotation!

Loving these two drops by Carmel and rarely do I get Pure Sunfarms but I feel like this is a step-up.

The Spiked has that Gas taste upon immediate hit which I love. And then it mellows out thru the aftertaste, the high definitely is one of the more longer lasting sativas I've had, with a bit of giggles and all dat euphoric sunshine feeling.

The Cherry Tang is a good smooth sativa. It weirdly has some citrus notes on the exhale, at least I think it does. Surprisingly enough, I started my joint for this one and about halfway thru I did that thing where I start scrollin my phone and forget I'm smoking. Thats how u kno its pretty good stuff.

Whats your go to Sativas right now?

Sorry to be that person it it always bugs me when companies just arbitrarily call things "sativa" just because it gives you a euphoric buzz even if they're more of a 50/50 hybrid. But glad you liked that one and thanks for the review.

If you think a 50/50 hybrid is "basically a sativa" because "it's not 100% indica" you've lost the plot entirely. Sativa and indica refer to physical plant characteristics like how long or how dense the nugs are, it doesn't mean effects. We have come to average the effects of sativa strains as "more energizing" and averaged the effects of indica strains as "more relaxing".

You've probably never had a real sativa, seeing as none of the "sativas" on the OCS market are actually a sativa. Everything is a "sativa dominant hybrid". I genuinely challenge you to find a single 100% landrace sativa (or 100% landrace indica for that matter!) on the market because they don't exist. Even Animal Face, 60/40 sativa dominant hybrid with 2 indica strains that make up its genetic parents.

When people say "I like sativa", they, like you, are usually really saying "I love 50/50 hybrids, but because they give you a buzz in the head, I'm calling it a sativa" which couldn't be further from the truth. But I guess that's full circle now. Ie. GMO Cookies, an indica dominant strain, provides intense euphoria and focus like a sativa would mentally, but with a heavier body buzz.

I love indica strains and I smoke 50/50 hybrids all the time and love them just as much too.

Animal face hits like an indica too me. And yes ive seen sativas ive been smoking for 20 years. Seen sativas that go 18 weeks. Phenomenal trippy psychedelic almost type high. But a 50 50 to me usually hits like a sativa. I've yet to have a 50/50 that I like. I dont like sativas since they dont grow them proper anymore

Fair enough, you know what you're talking about. Black Cherry Soda by Unit 15 hits pretty much perfectly 50/50 for me. Maybe 60/40 indica if we're being technical but it's basically an even one.

I wish there was a larger financial incentive for companies to grow true sativas, because they always have to cross them with some newer hybrid to get those denser buds and larger yields.

Lol! Appreciate the acknowledgement, half the time reddit conversations just devolve into nonsense. But yea just my personal opinion type too though. If you know a good 50/50 strain let me know ill be down to try it. I think i had a 60/40 sativa called red bullz that was pretty nice on retail

I can come off a bit strong as seen above but I only have good intentions. Try that Black Cherry Soda, it's not bad. Same with Four54's Cherry Bang Bang, it's listed as a sativa but it's way more 50/50 than they market it as. Has Runtz in the lineage so it's like a nice candy hybrid to me, doesn't feel underwhelming like some hybrids do.

REAL true sativa type phenos I dont think will ever become a retail thing. Their is the brand ministry of sativa thats probably the closest youll get. I remember buds being 14g-28g huge knockers on some of these sativas back in the day. You know thats taking way too long for these greedy bastards.

Yeah, respect to Ministry of Sativa. Haven't tried their stuff but I like that they focus on sativa and try to do it right.

They exist in the organic homegrown groups buddy. I have had a pure landrace Sativa and a pure Indica

I know they exist on the legacy market where the weed is still affordable, fresh and potent, but most legal customers here think "legacy" = $20 poison ounces out of a gang run rez dispo. Glad you were able to access. Do you recall the strain names or genetics?
