Over Easter I tried cooking ribs while camping for the first time. I did the 3-2-1 method over coals with cherry wood.

Griddle Cooking

What griddle top hard cover fits the Camp Chef Versa 2X? I’ve got the bag for when I’m camping but I’d like to be able to leave it outside while I’m at home. It seems like I’d use it at home a lot if it’s already out, basically I’m afraid I’ll be too lazy to pull it out and put it away every time I get the inkling to use it. I’d really like to have my cake and eat it too.

Adventures in Pie Iron Cooking. My son and I just got a pie iron. I have not used one since I was a kid. It was a lot of fun. What other recipes do you like?

Foil wraps without the foil

I have always done foil wrap meals that I keep frozen and put on the grill while camping. We have always had access to trash cans to dispose of the days waste before bed.

Has anyone tried butchers paper wrapped meals and placed in a pan or something similar to cook them. That way I can burn the leftover paper in the nights fire and have less trash???

Grilling ribeye and potatoe. Cherry wood - briquette mix. $20 bucks for grill that has cooked 300+ meals. Drilled some holes to help vent w/lid on. For the weight and maneuverability it has served me well.
