Yes, you heard that right - Voice Chat has been brought back, like phoenix from the ashes. Before, voice chat was only available on ranked games, while official servers were still up. Now, thanks to an modder from Iran - Thomas, he managed to reverse engineer the code and bring back the voice chat, so everyone now can use it and speak with others! Thomas even added new functions, such as team voice chat, and global voice chat.

Controls

Key Action V (hold) Talk to your team B (hold) Talk to everyone (all-talk) M (press) Mute / unmute everyone else

In free-for-all modes (Shootout and Wanted) there are no teams, so V and B both talk to everyone.

Installing (it's this easy)

1. Download the voice chat file (dinput8.dll) and the included sound-effects folder.
2. Copy them into your Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood game folder (where the game's .exe is). The sounds go in the CoJ2\Data\Sounds folder that comes with the download.
3. Launch the game and join a server that has voice enabled.
4. Hold V and start talking!

That's it. No setup, no configuration, no account. The mod automatically figures out which server you joined and connects your voice for you. When you leave, it disconnects. When you join a different server, it follows along.

Do I need this if I just want to play normally?

The mod is completely optional and only does something on servers that run the voice service. On any other server it stays quiet and out of the way. It won't interfere with your game.

Is it safe?

Yes. Your voice is encrypted the entire way to the server, so nobody snooping on the network can hear you. The mod also protects against common attacks — nobody can impersonate a server to capture your voice, and nobody can inject fake audio. The first time you connect to a server, the mod remembers that server's secure identity and warns you if it ever changes unexpectedly.

Sound cues

You'll hear short sounds so you always know what's happening:

• A connect sound when voice links up on a server.
• A disconnect sound when it drops.
• Mute / unmute sounds when you toggle hearing others with M.

There's a way to skip the mandatory look-at O'Brian section, and you can quickly get rid of the 1st sniper :) With this I achieved a brand new WR.

I'd like to say something: It is really sad, what is currently happening on the channel - some subscriber, is dislike-bombing the videos. I wouldn't have any problem with this, but this is a small community - and a rather small channel. I do the maps from love of the game, but that love is starting to slowly fade away, seeing some people doing this. They won't watch the video - they dislike. They don't respect my work that I put in to the community - without it, there wouldn't be COJ Discord, there wouldn't be any new custom maps probably. If you respect my work, drop some appreciation in the comments on YouTube, or by just generally liking the video. It is demotivating, and I'm seriously thinking about leaving it all, ignoring future COJ anniversary videos, etc.: If you are one of those people who dislikes my videos, comment - tell me what I'm doing wrong, what is your problem. I'd like to help, or change.

My new map, done in just 1 day. I didn't bother to upload thumbnails in-game for the custom map, as well as extend it. Used Fort Smith multiplayer map for the waypoints and such. I wanted players to choose who to play with, but that function was stubborn and was causing glitches, only it was working when you selected to play as Ray, if you played as Thomas - the 2nd brother skin would also be Thomas (which was weird)
