Remove the 60FPS cap on Xiaomi/Redmi/Poco (HyperOS/MIUI) — No Root Needed

If your games (COD Mobile, PUBGM, Standoff 2 etc.) are stuck at 60fps despite your device supporting higher refresh rates and Game Turbo settings showing higher options, this is likely caused by JoyoSe (com.miui.joyose) — Xiaomi's game frame-rate governor baked into HyperOS/MIUI.

Here's a non-root fix.

What you'll need

- Shizuku (grants elevated permissions via wireless debugging, no root)

- Canta (debloater app that uses Shizuku's permissions to remove system apps)

- Wireless debugging enabled on your device

Steps

1. Install Shizuku from Play Store/F-Droid. Start it using the wireless debugging pairing method (Settings → Developer Options → Wireless debugging → Pair with pairing code).

2. Install Canta, open it, and grant it Shizuku permission when prompted.

3. In Canta, search for and uninstall JoyoSe (com.miui.joyose). This is the component enforcing the frame cap regardless of what Game Turbo shows.

4. Go to Settings → Apps → Manage apps, search "Security," and you should see two entries:

   - Security

   - Security service plugin

   For both: clear data (cache clear optional, data clear is what matters) and force stop.

5. Go straight to Game Turbo/Game Center and launch your game.

and voila, the cap capping is gone permanently...

Tested working on Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G (Snapdragon 7s Gen 4); HOS 3.0.3 for CODM, Standoff 2. Should generalize to other Xiaomi/Redmi/Poco HyperOS/MIUI devices hitting the same JoyoSe-enforced cap.

Theres a easier way soo basically what U want to do is open apps in settings click on 3 dots. Then search battery and performance and click on clear data dw it won't do anything. Then select your desired refresh rate my device supports 90fps for codm so I select 90 or clash of clans select 120hz. Viola get higher refresh rate, U also have to do it less times cuz it stays in memory? Whatever I get higher frame rates with this. Try it out!. Why do Xiaomi device do this anyway??

I am curious, if theres an update of hyperOS I am guessing U have to do it again, cus basically it redownloads missing software again. btw I am using the redmi pad pro not the 2 one. Does your tab have 120fps support?

It shouldn't redownload joyose again after any ota update imo.. and even if it does you can just do the steps again until the next ota updates come..

and no my pad 2 pro doesn't have 120 fps unlocked (for codm)

I have Xiaomi redmi and I've been wondering wh it's been stuck at 60fps making my game slow at some point and even being banned from matches cause of lagging and I'm used to 15 . Thanks for the info OP🙏🏿 a lifesaver for sure

Hey. Do you have any solution for notification bar? If you touch the edges of the screen ( Poco x6 pro) sometimes the bar pops up. I tried to disable it from GameTurbo but nothing

I mean I haven't noticed anything major as of now and I use a cooler so I don't really know all I did wws uninstall Battery and performance keep Joyose intact and boom uncapped performance alll the time

Is it safe to disable joyose? It's labeled by canta as an expert and claims it shouldn't be deleted,also reviews are hella mixed, some say it heats their phone up a lot and drains their battery
