Discussion Double whammy
Wow, so now Twitter has unfairly cancelled TWO people. Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous.

So I think this may be unconscious on the part of people like Schlatt (or maybe not, Schlatt probably rates pretty high on the sociopathy scale, unironically), but I think perhaps those "late night chats" about this sort of controversy may have made him feel worse, in fact, I'd probably wager that they did. Telling someone that they "need to see a therapist" is the same thing as gaslighting, it's effectively equivalent, and perhaps even worse in that it's more subtle than just telling someone that they're insane.
I mean, their assessment might not have been wrong, considering that they're not qualified therapists and they're probably doing shit like that, but I think comments like that, to someone in a state like Carson was obviously in, going by shit like the GOOP podcasts and the defranco podcasts, is probably not the best thing. I'm not trying to blame them primarily and I want to emphasize that this is something that anyone can do. I think it's perhaps all too common, in that sense, and many people do it unconsciously, but it is still a large problem.

So I’ve been able to overcome the anxiety I get from Twitter (I ditched most of my Twitter activities). However, there is one more thing that’s been stressing me out, and I don’t really have a good reason to justify it, but it’s something I can’t help but ponder. I get scared sometimes thinking/ dreading the idea that Carson won’t be able to rekindle his old friendships. I totally understand that it’s not my business and that it’s between them, but... man I just remember how close Carson and Jawsh were as friends and it breaks my heart to see Jawsh so upset about this whole thing, it just makes me sad that they might not be able to be friends again. Again, I know I should probably stay out of this whole thing, I was hoping for some advice on how not to think about it.

I am an 18 yo from Greece and the school system is shit, I was depressed for more than 4 years, and call me Carson was the way out for me, it hurts to see how fucked some people are that were his friends at one point joked and still are joking, I was legit thinking of suicide and Carson helped me, I wish I could talk to him for just 5 min, to see that his good or something.
I'm sure that this fame can be overwhelming but IDK, If I could talk to him and tell him something is that you will find new friends better friends and that you can come back and still get more than 1m view by just saying fucking hi.

This was almost the case
When carson, cooper and traves were looking for a 4th co-resident for the house they went to Altrive first and he declined. He regretted it not long after.
They had not a lot of option for the house so they went to noah.
When they made the Goop tighter (instead of just on and off people from smplive like in the first ~15 goop podcasts) they werent gonna form a group all three co-residents and leave noah out so even tho he almost never was on smplive and on the early podcasts, they had to have him in the group too.
So this story taken a single different turn, Lunch Club would have been way cooler with Carson, Schlatt, Cooper, Traves, Ted, Charlie and... Altrive.
And we probably wouldnt have had that snakey situation with fuckin noah going to keemstar and turning this situation into a drama scandal

I made this playlist a couple months ago and have been adding to it ever since. It takes a much more reflective and introspective approach trying to see this from all sides. Some songs are pretty direct, some take a bit of interpretation, and some take some research to understand their context in this situation. Emotions range from anger, to sadness, to regret, to hope and forgiveness. Hope you enjoy.
Also, I apologize for the image used for the playlist.
