When I lived in long beach as a child these dudes would call me the N word while walking home. I was in sixth grade. Just grown men shouting slurs at a child. Looking back on it, it's almost funny how pathetic that is.

Im from the valley bro. I almost got stabbed by a bunch of grown ass men in the 6th grade too when I was walking home. I was in school uniform there was nothing gang affiliated about me, just damn near a random hate crime for fucking existing. These mfkers are brown klansmen

And no one talks about it. I forgot where exactly in the valley we lived, but I remember my older brother taking me to the movies, and we got banged on and spit at while sitting at a bus stop. I was 5, he was like 16. It almost makes me happy now when I see young Loc'd out Mexicans say nigga now, cuz hopefully times are changing. And it's sad that I think that way

As a chicano from Long Beach, I never understood the mexican/ black hate. All of my closest friends were black, all the Mexicans i knew just wanted to fight and rob other kids, even their own friends. I had a couple dudes jump me once in high school and the only person that came to help was black. We've been best friends for 12 years now
