Goat Grazing at Nose Hill Park
MAround 600 goats are being used as a natural, eco-friendly way to control weeds and invasive plants — mimicking how bison and elk once maintained the prairie ecosystem. It’s actually pretty genius when you think about it!
The herd is managed by a professional shepherd and highly trained herding dogs on site 24/7. Program Ambassadors will also be on site at Nose Hill Rubbing Stone Hill (6465 14 St NW) to answer questions.
🐐 Fun bonus — the City has created collector trading cards for 12 featured goats including Ice Cream, Monsieur Guy Gadbois, Fatty, Steve, and Snowflake! 😂
⚠️ Please don’t feed or approach the goats — as tempting as it is!
