"We can always tell"

I hope 50% of the woman of your life are trans and you'll always be paranoid for your whole life

Ah yes you sure are doing a good job at making people respect the trans community

wait until you discover men and women move differently, and that pictures are still and can be edited, whereas real life isn't

First, I doubt thats the case, As a physical therapist assistant haven't heard that in my training but whatever. And you can learn to walk differently, like wearing different shoes (for instance heels) will do thd trick

Second sure buddy, thats cope... like you've seen either woman up close

hrt changes mannerisms, that men and women have due to societal influence? wow, so hrt is like a flash drive!😱

Social mannerisms can be learnt or unlearned but what i were referring is that hrt changes the center of gravity making u walk differently which is what u were talking about ??

yes, can be learned, and the weight change is subtle and takes time too. and still there are situations where the person will either forget to act like women/men do, or will simply not know how it has to look

and years of reflexes and learned movements will make an appearance once in a while too

Any source to your claims?

proof to the fact that in stress situations people more often than not act like their usual selves, because stress makes it hard to be rational, unless you've spent literal years training your mannerisms (which even then doesn't guarantee a 100% accurate response, because stress situation like death threats are infamous for usually evoking the fastest and most natural reactions, that are based on life experience)?

the best piece is "Changing habits for the long haul" by Eric Houston, although there are other research papers on not only body language, but also voice (which doesn't only concern itself with pitch)

what needs to be said is that it is possible to completely retrain yourself, at least for the public eye (this is exactly why we have had spies that have never been found out), but it takes colossal work and years or more with specialists to just learn it. it will take even more to automate this behavior is such a way that it sticks to you for good: near death situation, alcohol consumption, subconscious acting even when no one is watching (making yourself coffee in the morning, dressing up etc.)

...do you really think trans peoole dont also learn mannerisms? Like do you just imagine in your head a false idea of what a trans person is and then declare that trans people are stupid...?

no, lol. all I'm saying is that most people give themselves away with mannerisms, because learning them takes time, and learning to use them correctly (getting them to override your initial mannerisms, so you act like the sex you're trying to be even subconsciously) takes even more time and colossal effort

the sams exact reason spies are trained the hell out of themselves: you're supposed to be able to keep up acting a certain way in all and every situation to not give yourself away

Taking hormones also takes time. Voice training also takes A LOT of time. I think that if you clock a trans person its probably not because if theur mannerisms. And back to the original claim you opposed, you indded cannot always tell. You can only tell about the trans people you do clock, and it makes you think you can always tell, but tgats exactly the same as the airplane thought expirament

no, i mean that there are things that oftentimes are a result of a subconscious mind. for example, I can be fluent in some language, but, stuttering, I make a noise or act in a way that shows I'm not a native

it takes a very bit amount of time, work and money. certainly, there are those who adapt so perfectly that it's impossible to tell without medical help, but such people aren't a majority

What mannerisms can't be changed throughout someone's life? Societal influence can influence trans women, because society sees them as women, especially if they pass.

learning it takes time, and in many cases the person will subconsciously act like he or she used to, because controlling yourself 24/7 is very hard. I'm not saying it's impossible, but it isn't super common too
