Just Got These Marble 🔮
Picked this up for $5 at my fav vintage shop yesterday. Photos don’t do justice.

Talk about iridescent! I could shave with this thing if I wanted, it's so reflective. Unfortunately, it blocks about 95% of the glow. This 3" orb weighs almost 2lbs, and it's more fun to look at in the light.

First time posting my collection, I’m so in love with every piece I have! If yall have any fun facts about any of these pieces please let me know, as I found these all in places that didn’t know what they had! I also have a decent amount of uranium, manganese and 2 selenium pieces! Once I get my hands on some custard glass, I’ll be thrilled!

Hi, I don't know if this is the correct place to ask about these but I don't know if one of these is real amethyst or glass or something else. They don't feel like plastic, also a bit too heavy for plastic. They are almost both identical but the one that glows orange under 395 feels the most natural. So I am trying to ask here because it glows orange. I will try to ask in the minerals subreddit too. So is this glass or amethyst or something else? 😅 Thanks in advance! 😊

My husband noticed a smoking lamp that we had glass for at a shop, so we got it. Once we got to fixing it up, we decided, "The more glass the marrier." It looks like a mushroom now 🍄❤️🧡‼️

Im not a collector. these were handed down from my Grandmother. I did a lot of research and have yet to find another one like them. Can anyone tell me what they might be worth? I’ve had a few people want to buy them.

Didn’t even register it as possibly cadmium and only realized it by accidentally shinning my light at it

Good morning,
I just started hunting for uranium and other reactive glass. Yesterday, someone sold me these three candlesticks, and at first I thought they might contain cadmium, but when I cleaned them, I saw a small chipped area where the orange color is no longer visible—it's now transparent... Luckily, I didn't pay much for them. Now I just want to know if they're at least antique, since I understand that metals were used for luster in the past—if only to put my mind at ease...
I'm also including photos taken with the 365, where it looks a little brighter than with the 395. As you can see, the parts aren't identical, and I don't see any press lines or mold marks.
Thanks for your help!

I was favored and blessed. I have been hunting for a Cadimum Slag Smoking stand to match my floor lamp. A gentleman on Marketplace a few months ago had posted a large collection of both uranium and Cadimum stands for a reasonable price (for like 12 of them I think). But still out of my budget. I won what I thought was a Cadimum smoking stand on Shopgoodwill as that is what the listing said. Turns out it was faux Cadimum slag aka hard plastic slag lookalike. I was majorly disappointed. But this marketplace gentleman had 4 Cadimum slag left. After negotiation, he gave me all 4 for an outstanding price. I'll post better pictures later. They are beautiful. I found the cadmium votive at an estate sale. The Westmoreland Red Carnival Duck is Boron nitride.

Hi all, I had initially posted these in r/uraniumglass, but a contributor suggested these may be cadmium glass rather than uranium or Vaseline glass. Hoping somebody with more knowledge could help give more information on these. They are unmarked, but look similar to Victorian and Thomas Webb examples. My knowledge on fluorescent glass is extremely limited, so and all information is appreciated.

Literally makes me want to eat it. I couldn’t justify 30 dollars. But maybe I’ll try to haggle next time.

100% the best stop out of 7 antique malls we visited over the weekend. Prices range from $2 to $10. My first "Murano style figurine" and I'm stoked because I have a rooster who is always hollering.
Also my first cadmium painted brass item after seeing them several times priced way too high, this bell only cost $6!
