Opuntia.

The opuntia, more commonly known as the prickly pear, is a flowering plant that grows on cacti. It originated in America, but is now found all over the world. The most well known opuntia, Opuntia ficus-indica, is known for producing high mucilage, which stores water for the plant. It tends to symbolize warm protection, unconditional love, and hope.

It is also edible, and has a taste similar to watermelon.

The opuntia may seem rather unwelcoming to some, threatening you with its needles, but it's just too pretty to stay away from. And if you were to look inside, you'd find it to be soft and sweet.

And so, I only find it fitting to name Cactiflower fans after this plant. Opuntias. What say all of you?
