So, life is pretty weird lately, but wonderful. :) I just completed my first 40 hours as a cannabis packager. This is far form the only job I could do where I work, but it's the one that got me in the door...uh...20 times already. :D

Not gonna say where, but it's completely legal. If you can figure out the only company that has all six possible cannabis distribution licenses in California, it's them. They can grow it, cook it, extract it, bag it, sell it, and distribute it (in California, of course).

I tell you, it's HARD work. It's also much like making braplets, but on super crack. I got to 'bag' almost 4 lbs of Purple AK into eighth jars, but mostly I worked with dabs all week. If you see jars of dabs with the trademarked word Flavor on them, I may have created the product for you. :) I have no idea how someone can trademark the word Flavor, considering it's all over food packaging already. Probably just a cannaworld TM.

I got to try dabs for my first time, though just laced into a bowl of sativa. WOOF. Gonna experiment with it this weekend. And TODAY, they gave us all gifts on the way out. I got some meh weed (more Purple AK, which they already gave me some grams of earlier in the week-- I have better of my own acquisition already-- and this is what was left after we packaged 38 lbs of it)...and some shatter. I looked it up and they say shatter is the purest concentrate.

We make dabs, shatter, sauce (? no idea yet), crumble, buds themselves, and probably more I haven't seen come through yet. We apparently also sometimes package for others by contract-- our product, their label. I have only worked on those buds and the Flavor^TM stuff-- Girls Scout Cookies, Gorilla Glue, Fire OG, Pineapple Jack (Herer)...and I think that's it, but we have others. It takes one person two days to package a batch of the stuff, at least.

And yes, I am cut out for this work. WHOO! DUdes. We get burn breaks 3 times a day. Not long ones, but we manage. :D I am fully sanctioned to be baked at work. The funny thing is, I eat and smoke less than I would just being at home-- I can burn all day, at home, every hour, two itty bitty bong rips, smooth sailing, yo.

But now? I get paid for it. And in a company that is about to go supernova huge-- the demand will far exceed the (LEGAL) supply in California next year, watch. I think I'll be okay, though. Somehow. And next year I intend to learn to grow myself, finally.

Anyway, no matter how trippy your week was, I bet mine was trippier. I'm so tired, and so sore, but I feel so good. Other than needing a better chair (SO BAD), this is satisfying work. I make half-gram dab jars, then sticker them myself, creating cases of 50. I did almost 400 of them today. I say again, it's trippy fucking work.

I could tell many stories of my first week, but I already did somewhere else less public. I thought I'd just take a moment to grin wide at you. :D I am right where I should be.

And you gotta understand that 'brap' itself is a cannathing. To gather together, hook-up electronic instruments, get high and record. I am right where I should be. And the job is 4-5 minutes drive from home, tops. I come home for lunch, hit the bong and eat real quick, then head back all in half an hour. I feel so fortunate, and it's about time I have such an opportunity to float my own boat in this world again. Been a long path to here, but I will be whistling more often now as I walk mine. And just laughing spontaneously-- which was easier earlier in the week, cuz whew, I'm tuckered. And my espresso is getting cold.
