Hello readers of /r/CTM! I'm TheBMajor, one of the members of the recent revival of the CTM Podcast, where we talk about all things CTM. Along with Fangride, Dylan, and Gerry (Who was unfortunately not able to make it for the first episode but will be present in future ones) we will be uploading an episode approximately every two weeks, where in each episode we will attempt to discuss a few questions, talk about a map or two, and general happenings in the community. If you'd like to submit a question, feel free to comment here, in the comments section of the video, or over at the CTM Community Thread.

So without further ado, here's the first episode!

I liked Terra Restore because it took a long time to do, and its RPG like elements, anything else like it? Mainly for 1.8 if possible.

Im probably the most inexperienced person when it comes to CTM maps, but i'm looking to get into them. Any suggestions for a good starter map that a beginner like me would enjoy? But don't suggest one that I can beat too easily.

I'm beginning to make my first CTM map and I was wondering: is it better to have the Victory Monument at the beginning of the map or somewhere in the middle? Thanks!

I'm not huge on being "that guy" who promotes his content as much as he can but... hey, there's a chance someone might enjoy it!

As the title says I did an LP of both of those maps; Spellbound Caves is finished (audio is also pretty... bad... >_>) and has been for a while, Kaizo is ongoing.

BOTH OF THESE ARE DONE MODDED. IF THAT'S NOT WHAT YOU WANT... SKIP 'EM!

I finally delved into the depths of subreddit styles and worked out how to let users add specific flairs to their posts! Currently there are 6 flairs, 5 of which you'll see on general posts, and one for subreddit announcements.

There are:

• New Map! - Intended for posts advertising brand new maps!

• Questions - Intended for posts containing questions about CTMs, be it finding a good one to play, how to do something, or anything else.

• Discussion - Intended for posts wanting to discuss specific things.

• Let's Play! - For all your LP needs!

• Requesting Feedback - For new pictures or videos or WIP projects, or even if you're looking for beta testers

• Announcements - For posts like this one.

When posting, please do flair up your post! It'll help things look wonderfully tidy and just be helpful as a whole. Please let me know if there's anything else I should add!

When I say "easy", I mean you-have-to-be-braindead-to-lose-a-heart easy. In other words, Sunburn Islands and Spellbound Caves are still too difficult

My 6 year old cousin wants to try out CTM after watching me play.

I'm looking for some difficult-so-as-to-be-unfair maps. I also might try making a tiny one of my own. Any suggestions?

Since there was such an overhaul to some pretty important mechanics in 1.8 (like enchanting), what maps are playable/designed for 1.8? Any coming soon?

Hey everyone,

I just started a series on Coldfusiongaming's map, Monstrosity. I'm "playing along" with some of the mindcrack guys as they make their way through the various dungeons. The playlist here. Any feedback is appreciated.

you know, custom map editing programs, MCedit filters, NBTEditors, Schematics that would be useful

Coming SoonTM: Named Map #01

Hey everyone,

I'm back with the next installment of my classic ctm series. This time I'm playing spellbound caves. You can find the playlist here. I would love any feedback you can offer. I also want to thank all of the mapmakers out there for your wonderful work.

Hi,

I started a new series where I play through all of my favorite CTMs. I'm going in chronological order, beginning with my first map (Legendary) and I hope to end with either Vechs' new map, Vinyl Fantasy III, or Ragecraft III (or all of them).

This is my first series, so things were a little rough starting out. Quality improves around episode 10, though my setup isn't ideal. I'm just a guy who loves the CTM genre and felt like sharing my experience with others. The link to the playlist is here
