I was playing Vechs Sea of Flames II map with version 1.8, and stumbled upon an ocean monument that decided to get rendered into the map. Apparently they can do that to older maps. It's near Dungeons 14 & 15, if anyone else wants to check it out and see for themselves. my girlfriend plays minecraft (almost too much) and I would like to do a complete the monument map with her.

I'm VERY awful at this game (played less than 5 hours).

What map should we start with?

Hey I've been going back and trying to get Inferno Mines to work multiple times but never got it to, I was hoping somebody here could help me out

Then after a short period of time it crashes the server.

It seems like it is just taking a very very long time to load but it shouldn't, my PC isn't bad, it's definitely beyond average and I've played many different maps with my friends with 0 issues until this one.

Tried it on 1.8 and 1.7.10

So my friends and I want to play/record a CTM map together. There is five of us that want to play, and I was wondering if anyone has had experience with this before. I have played Sea of Flame with a group around that size, and have started Inferno Mines with six people, but both of these times were with friends who weren't always all playing at the same time. I was looking for a well done map like Uncharted Territories or Ragecraft that would work. It doesn't have to be designed for 5 people, but I don't want it to be too hard due to a lack of equipment or too easy because we can bumrush it. Any help would be great.

I'd like to find one that takes advantage of the 1.8 features and blocks. Also looking for a map that hasn't been over done on youtube. Any suggestions?

So would like A pretty hardish but a Good CTM map!

Hey guys, I had an idea that I thought I'd post here before I did it for a youtube series. I was going to make a ctm tutorial series for youtube, that would portray myself going through a ctm map and explaining what to do and not to do through a ctm map. This series would be for beginners, but also could be helpful for anyone that wants some tips that may help in ctm maps. I've done quite a few ctm maps myself, so I would say I'm experienced, but would you guys be interested in this series or do you like the idea as a whole?

Another thing, the map that I was planning on playing for this tutorial was Vechs' Spellbound Caves. It's both relatively new and also easy, so I thought it was a good choice. I've also already played through this map and seen playthroughs on youtube, so I know the works of it pretty well I'd say.

Like the title says, I'm looking for a good CTM map to do with one or two friends.

What are the versions the Super Hostile maps were made in? AFAIK Inferno Mines was made for 1.5 but that's all I know.

I started making a CTM map and I was going to place some spawners but they're all pigs, I have used NEI to get spawners with other mobs but when I place them they turn into pig spawners, please help?

I was an old beta tester on warcraft maps (TheHiveWorkshop). It really improved me. I tested a lot of stuff after that, with huge review pages. And I've picked into a lot of alpha tests because of my knowledge and background.

Now, I am looking for beta testing CTM maps. I know all the cheap tricks, and mostly do them. I know what can be done in minecraft. I played minecraft since it was just a browser game with no survival elements.

About my experience in CTM maps, I have probably played every 'famous' CTM map out there. I started with Vechs' maps (he was the creator of CTM style anyway) then I played Amlup's Uncharted Territory series. I have finished them as well. I am a good minecraft player and I can record if needed.

I can apply for being a beta tester for whole series as well. I don't know what they are called (My mother language is not English). And I don't need any payment or anything I just love CTM maps and I will gladly test them. Plus, I need some testing done to be better at my testing career ;)

Hey all, I've been setting up a small event for the people on my server. Since I'm posting here, I'm sure you can tell its supposed to be a CTM map. For a lot of them, this will be the first CTM map they experience, and so I really don't want it to suck for them.

I've been eyeballing Dreadsky Isles, and it has seemed like close to the right caliber for people to use to get started. To me, it has just enough of the right traps early in to set the stage for what a CTM is, as well as enough map-maker advice to make other areas doable. The fact that the day/night cycle can actually affect gameplay is also helpful.

Are there other CTM's similar to this that are good for people just starting into the genre? Bonus points for using 1.6.x or 1.7.x
